THe movie "Say Uncle" with Peter Paige
« on: May 29, 2007, 04:54:46 PM »
Downloaded this film from movielink and we watched it last night. I'm not a Peter Paige fan as such, but he wrote, directed and starred in this interesting film. Not to give it all away, but its a gay guy who loves kids. He's a kid himself. When the family he lives with moves to Japan, and takes their kid, he gets very depressed. He finds hanging around with kids and just having fun with them is the answer to his happiness. Well, just from my intro you might think his intensions could be taken the wrong way, and thats what the film is all about. When the mother of one kid finds out he's gay, has no kids, and comes to the playground just to have fun with the other kids, she assumes his intentions are not good. She gets most of the local community after him, as a child sex perv.

Pretty good film. The acting was B movie, but there were many fun stars in the film that made the difference. Like Melanie Lynskey from Two and a Half Men, and Kathy Najimy from the film Hocus Pocus. A little lame of an ending, but the message about gays, kids, teaching and stereo types is pretty realistic. Jerry Falwell would have just LOVED this film...     ;D
