Worried with All Symptoms
« on: December 18, 2013, 06:25:06 am »
4 weeks ago I had an encounter with a Nigerian CSW(in Nigeria), I thought the condom had broken but did not see it (the girl jumped off quickly as I came),It was maximum 1 min of sex so if condom had broke max of 20 sec. I saw some of the condom on my flacid penis but I am worried the top underneath my penis could of been broken and I didn't notice.

*6-7 days after 'exposure' - retro orbital headache (pain on moving eyes) & aching shoulders/upper back, some mild fever (kept down by codine 4 headache?).This lasted 3-4days, one groin lymphnode raised and one acceptable node raised (back of head)

*@10 days -headache&aching gone, went to Dr for WBC which came back as slightly low WBC;no other abnormalities. Faint rash appears on flanks and upper back,3-4 blotches in middle back

*@11 days-sore throat for 5 days, there was pus on tonsils day 1 but after just pain, fatigue later in the days

*@15 days-burning redness on shoulders and upper back - rash but didn't last more than a day

*@16 days- 3 days of low grade fever (37-38deg all day, highest 38),feeling run down

*@17 days - gastrodiscomfort but no diarrhea, pain in upper abdomen and under ribs (particularly the right side) took opramazole and was OK after 3 days. Was concerned this was general lymphnode swelling in my abdo and chest. some feeling of stiffness in fingers and sometimes elbows

*@18days - developed penile thrush (taking doxy for malaria prophylaxis) & swollen nodes in my neck (couldn't feel individual nodes just the general area was harder, above collar bone also) - knee pain, around the knees and sometimes in thighs and calf's

*@18 to now still fatigued (full nights sleep and still tired)& having penile thrush, no lymphnodes or other symptoms other than stomach discomfort.-discomfort in my right jaw like I have been punched could be caused by grinding my teeth at night.

*Today 3-4 little painful uclers inside my bottom lip and top gum and painful tongue; still some joint discomfort.

My own PCP and other forum users have told me either I would have known if the condom broke, or my risk was very small.

Localboy,

As you already have an account with us - Idiot_Abroad - and you only created this new account to get around having to pay a subscription for further participation, you are now permanently banned. Our rule about having only one account is clearly laid out in the Terms of Membership you agreed to when you created your accounts.

HIV is certainly character-building. It's made me see all of the shallow things we cling to, like ego and vanity. Of course, I'd rather have a few more T-cells and a little less character. Randy Shilts
