fulguration of anal warts
« on: March 15, 2007, 02:14:18 pm »
was just wondering if anyone else has had surgical fulguration for anal warts.  i have a few small warts outside of my rectum but my doc is suggesting we do a full rectal exam & fulguration as an outpatient procedure at the hospital. the last time i had anal removed the doc burnt them off both externally & internally in his office under local anesthesia. the whole idea of the hospital is freakin me out a little bit.  just looking for others who have experienced this that can give me a lil heads up!  thanks in advance.

i had laser surgery twice. the first time they came back so i had another last may and it's been good since. i say it's worth it. i tried Aldara and acid but they always came back. the healing after surgery does hurt like a bitch but they give you pain killers. so i say go for it. it might take a couple treatments, i'd do it again if they come back.

when the doc burnt them off a couple of years ago in his office i did not have any pain at all to be honest with you.  it is i recently  moved to a new city & a new doc & was just nervous that he wants to do this procedure in the hospital.
