Title: To call or not to call?
Post by: punkinpuff on November 28, 2018, 04:43:14 pm
I woke up this morning with a very painful, pea side lymph node on the back of my neck; it's on the left side near my hairline. It's very tender to the touch and painful when I move my neck certain ways, but I feel fine otherwise.

Is this something I need to call the doctor about now or can it wait to be addressed at my next appointment in about 6 weeks?

If it's concerning you, than I would see your GP.

I'm really not too concerned, considering I feel fine otherwise. I was wondering if I should be, though... Lol! I'm guessing not?

I've had similar things which I've put down to scratching a spot of something. I'm not even 100% convinced it was a lymph node to be honest, I'd probably give it a few days to see if it disappears, but if it gets any bigger, becomes red or inflamed (hot to the touch) and/or has any red streaks moving away from it then it's worth seeing a doctor as it may be an infection.

Good to know. I'll keep an eye out for any of that, thank you!
