Title: Hiv risk
Post by: sgrayrider on January 09, 2021, 07:09:56 am
Hi all,

About 4 weeks ago I had two sexual encounters with 1 high end escort and the other a tinder date on separate dates. I had unprotected oral and protected vaginal sex with both and I don't actually know status of both the person.

With the escort I had a condom on during vaginal intercourse and at one point thought I had cum but didn't so pulled out and she gave me oral till I came.

The tinder date gave me an oral then we had protected sex whcih resulted in me cumming in the condom.

In both scenarios I felt the condom was intact or that's what I remember now that I'm doubting myself if it broke.

I currently have some headache and lymph nodes swollen  on my jaw and extremely nervous about the HIV test I need to take on Monday. What is my actual risk here?

I have post nasal drip all the time and feel it might be the reason I have swollen lymph but couldn't convince myself.. Pls help

Receiving a blowjob isn't an HIV risk. As for the intercourse, HIV can't transmit through an intact latex or polyurethane condom. If a condom fails during the act of intercourse it's obvious.

There is no reason to be stressing or testing outside of standard yearly routine as long as this obvious issue did not happen.

Here's what you need to know to avoid HIV infection:
Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, correctly and consistently, every time, no exceptions. Consider talking to your healthcare provider about PrEP as an additional layer of HIV protection going forward.

Keep in mind that some sexual practices which may be described as ‘safe’ in terms of HIV transmission might still pose a risk for transmission of other STI's, so please do get fully tested regularly and at least yearly for all STI's including but not limited to HIV and test more frequently if unprotected intercourse occurs

Also, note that it is possible to have an STI and show no signs or symptoms and the only way of knowing is by testing.

Kind regards

Thanks Jim for the quick reply I forgot to add that I also performed oral on the escort will that change the risk factor? As for the intercourse I would have noticed it panicked if the condom tore or broke as you mentioned but it's my mind playing tricks here..

Cunnilingus isn't an HIV risk either.
