Post by: Jim Allen on October 23, 2020, 10:43:02 am
Just as a reminder, it's that time of year again. Had a delay here in getting the flu shot but I got it yesterday.

I also got a booster pneumococcal shot that I had not expected. Happy enough with it though.

Yes flu shot time of year. I’m down for mine sometime in early November, plus am due next shot for HPV vaccine and some other booster. I’ve been quite impressed as the ID clinic have topped me with with several different vaccines this year.
Other than that, I hate the dark evenings this time of year brings!

I was back in the clinic today as they are doing a study

"Investigation of the impact of interferon lambda polymorphisms on influenza vaccine responses in treated HIV"

In English, they want to see after a few weeks how our immune systems respond to the flu vaccine. I suspect no real difference compared to HIV Negative peers but we will see.
