I am a 47 year old male, based in the UK. 7 days ago, I had a sexual encounter with a trans male escort from Brazil. I brushed my teeth about 40 minutes before the meeting, but don't remember any bleeding although there may have been.
The escort would not allow kissing with tongues/heavy petting, but would allow kissing on the lips, I asked about his sexual health and he said he always uses condoms for anal sex and that "of course" he did not have HIV. He seemed in good condition/health.
The encounter involved him masturbating me to orgasm, which didn't take long, but just before I ejaculated I took his penis in my mouth and sucked it for about 20-40 s, I did not recall any precum, but there may have been. After I ejaculated I immediately removed his penis and washed my mouth out.
Since this was unprotected oral sex I am concerned about my risk of catching HIV, I know the risk may be low, but given it was unprotected and I can't be sure of his sexual health and that there may have been precum and bleeding in my mouth can you advise of my risk of HIV and other STD transmission and what time frames I need to be aware of for any STD symptoms. I have noticed a slight dryness in the back of my throat and general tiredness since. Thank you.

He seemed in good condition/health.
Sounds like you were out at smith field market buying a horse, anyhow joking aside you can not tell from looking at someone if they are living with HIV or not and most of us are as a group very fit to be honest.
As for your concerns this is simple, HIV isn’t transmitted by hugging, shaking hands, sharing toilets, sharing dishes, kissing, through saliva, tears, or sweat
As for giving him a BJ (Sucking his penis) the virus is very fragile, and your mouth has dozens of protein and enzymes that damage the virus and render it unable to infect, so there is no need to panic, worry or run test every time you give a blow job, just get tested the next time you are due for a regular HIV checkup and fully expect a negative HIV result.
Here's what you need to know in order to avoid hiv infection:
Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, correctly and consistently, every time, no exceptions.
Keep in mind that some sexual practices which may be described as ‘safe’ in terms of HIV transmission might still pose a risk for transmission of other STI's, so please do get fully tested regularly and at least yearly for all STI's including but not limited to HIV and test more frequently if unprotected intercourse occurs
Also note that it is possible to have an STI and show no signs or symptoms and the only way of knowing is by testing.

Thanks for the reply Jim, can I just ask about risk from the following. I had an encounter with a trans man, I briefly rubbed my penis in his anal area, as sort of foreplay, but did not "penetrate" with my penis, as I was trying to be careful. I'm presuming that HIV is only a risk from actual penetration/intercourse and the virus would not survive at the surface of the anus in this type of sctivity. Is this correct?

You are correct, the virus doesn't survive outside the body, no penetration...no risk.

Thanks. I should have mentioned that instead of penile penetration,I fingered him in the anus with 2 fingers for a while, I'm reasonably sure I had no cuts on my fingers, but could you let me know the risks if any of HIV transmission from this activity, with or without cuts. Many thanks.

There has simply never been a documented case of HIV transmission via fingering, cuts or not and this makes perfect sense. In short you will not be the world first ever case.
Move on with your life.
