Title: Oral to a woman
Post by: Jr.Tom on July 13, 2012, 12:39:02 pm
Dear All,
I have a question which is worrying me quite a lot lately.
here is my story.
last Jan i believe to best of my knowledge. I came across a girl who was separated from her man. Due to stupidity, we ended up having protected sex ( vaginal).
but before inserting, i lick her vagina.
And she licked me as well. Why i did this stupidity on a strange woman. I don't know but on the back of my mind it was going since she is here on resident visa, and to get a resident visa here where I am living you need to have complete check up such as HIV test.
I such her for few mins and she did the same. I am quite sure she was so dry and i don't think even a little bit of vaginal fluids which are normal in any woman were present during that incident. After completely the sex act such as intercourse i removed my condom and smoke one cigarette and then clean my mouth with mouth wash. and after dropping her i had a complete bath and brush and clean up my mouth with mouth wash completely.
Now i m freaking out if there is a risk, Its been six month or more. And i don't feel any problem in my body. I had once dehydration which was due to lack of consuming less water and less sleep and i recovered in few hours. I only feel sometimes a bit thrust in nights which is subject to my less consumption of water in a day and i also smoke cigarette special before sleeping. Kindly advise i m really worried on my stupidity.

Oral sex is not a risk of contracting HIV. If you are concerned about your symptoms see your doctor. They have nothing to do with HIV.

Licking butt is absolutely not a risk for HIV.

Only unprotected vaginal and anal intercourse are confirmed risks for the sexual transmiision of HIV. Use condoms properly every time and you will be well protected. It's just that simple.

I've merged your threads. Please follow our rule and keep all entries in the same thread.

Touching a butt including the anus is not a risk. Touching or rubbing is not the same as insertion without a condom which is a risk.

You are worrying needlessly. Get on with your life.

Thanks So i can go ahead with the test. I am just waiting for one more week so I complete exact three months for any encounter even if with the girl whose status I know very well and was not involved in intercourse at all and she just gave me an oral.
So after exact 90 days I can go for hiv testing and that will be conclusive for peace of mind?
I really admire you guys, is there any way if someone likes to help in terms of money so that you people keep on doing your good work?

Before I take my test which I am planning to take tomorrow or day after, I just wanted to know one thing.
What if ( Sorry I am putting what ifs) the lady whom I gave oral had a high viral Load and some problem in my mouth?
Will that increase the risk of infection.
I can't come out of this and at that point is very scared.
Kindly help. Really need your help. Pls.
I will also update you guys once I get my test done. Pls help.

Tom,

There's never been a confirmed case of oral transmission from a woman to another person, regardless of the circumstances. You're not going to be the first.

Dear Ann
Thanks for reply,
I had habit of chewing Tabacco which usually leaves some cuts in your mouth.
Though I am not regular one , sometimes.
I am not even sure if I had that chewing of tabacco that day prior to the incident.
Will you reply be the same , in case I had chewed the tabacco and it gave some cuts inside the mouth. But one thing I am sure of, even if I had there was a gap of few hours between that.
Thx for your reply. Appreciate your patience, in reply same question again and again. and to deal with so many what ifs.

Tom,

Of course my answer is going to be the same. Giving a woman oral sex (cunnilingus) is NOT a risk for hiv infection, regardless of whatever details you can come up with.

Hiv transmission doesn't stand a chance of happening via female genitals to mouth - there are just too many obstacles on the oral route.

The first obstacle is the mouth itself. The mouth is a veritable fortress, standing against all sorts of pathogens we come into contact with every minute of our lives. It's a very hostile environment and saliva has been shown to contain over a dozen different proteins and enzymes that damage hiv.

Hiv is a very fragile virus - literally. Its outer surface doesn't take kindly to changes in its preferred environment; slight changes in temperature, moisture content and pH levels all damage the outer surface. Importantly, it needs this outer surface to be intact before it can latch onto a few, very specific cell types and infect.

Which leads to the second obstacle. Hiv can only latch onto certain types of cells, cells which are not found in abundance in the mouth.

The third obstacle to transmission this way is having hiv present in the first place. The female secretion where hiv has been shown to be present is the cervicovaginal fluid. This fluid is actually a thick mucus that covers and protects the cervix.

The fluid a woman produces when sexually excited comes from the Bartholin's glands, located on either side of the vaginal opening. I have yet to discover one shred of evidence (and believe me, I've looked) that shows this lubricating fluid to have any more hiv present than other bodily secretions such as saliva, sweat or tears. Saliva, sweat and tears are NOT infectious fluids.

So there you have it. Once the results of the serodiscordant studies** started rolling in, what we know about hiv transmission on the cellular level was validated. The only people who were getting infected were those who had unprotected anal or vaginal intercourse. Period. One of the three studies went on for ten years and involved hundreds of couples. That's a lot of nookie.

**There have been three long-term studies of couples where one is positive and one is negative. In the couples who used condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, but no barrier for oral activities, not one of the negative partners became infected with hiv. Not one.

The other situation you're worried about - where you rubbed your penis between the butt-cheeks of a woman, without actually penetrating her anus - was NOT a risk for hiv infection. Rubbing genitals together, or rubbing genitals on other parts of the body, without penetration is called frottage and frottage is NOT a risk for hiv infection.

You have NOT had a risk for hiv infection, therefore your hiv test result will be negative.

Here's what you need to know in order to avoid hiv infection:

You need to be using condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, every time, no exceptions until such time as you are in a securely monogamous relationship where you have both tested for ALL sexually transmitted infections together.

To agree to have unprotected intercourse is to consent to the possibility of being infected with an STI. Sex without a condom lasts only a matter of minutes, but hiv is forever.

Have a look through the condom and lube links in my signature line so you can use condoms with confidence.

ALTHOUGH YOU DO NOT NEED TO TEST SPECIFICALLY OVER FROTTAGE OR CUNNILINGUS, anyone who is sexually active should be having a full sexual health care check-up, including but not limited to hiv testing, at least once a year and more often if unprotected intercourse occurs.

If you aren't already having regular, routine check-ups, now is the time to start. As long as you make sure condoms are being used for intercourse, you can fully expect your routine hiv tests to return with negative results.

Don't forget to always get checked for all the other sexually transmitted infections as well, because they are MUCH easier to transmit than hiv. Some of the other STIs can be present with no obvious symptoms, so the only way to know for sure is to test.

Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, correctly and consistently, and you will avoid hiv infection. It really is that simple!

Dear All,
Thanks for the support.
Today I went to good medical clinic in my country and took the test. ( I dont know what method they use but they mentioned card method)
And Happy by the grace of GOD it was a negative.
What a relief.

My exposure what I told you, was about 5 to 6 month to best of my knowledge.
And last time, I was involve in receiving an oral from my girl frd was exactly 3 days less than 3 months i.e 29th of may 2012 and today is 26th of Aug 2012.
In between in the month of June, i was masturbate twice at massage parlor but only with hand which i believe is no risk. And its been two months plus now.
I believe thing went well for me.

I just wanted to tell you the result so that if other people goes thru the same situation they have feel little bit relax but believe me getting marrying and be in only one relation is worth than these worries.
I am hoping for the best for all.
Thanks
