now we rise any one else watch it so far
« on: March 02, 2017, 11:41:43 pm »
Just watched part three of the mini series.

putting labels on everyone and everything are you gay are you lesbian?

who wants to be put in a box labeled unwanted ?? how about just open minded and closed minded free thinker and not so thinker or some thing .

are we not people together as a human with out, we verse them. you and us grouping

just a thought but thinking out side the box. I am a person first the rest is irrelevant.

when this close friend died from AIDS around 1990 or so  his family said  brain tumor was the cause of death  was less shame in it I was told and told others ?

I hope that changes some day that we die from old age free of labels and the virus.

sorry to go on but wanted to share my thoughts

wish my thoughts were better more eloquent and poetic but I guess that was not meant to be.

I have a full house full of people and only one person here, some how, knows about my HIV if they suspect we do not talk about it and my pills they are what they are just pills

I've been watching it. I'm catching up with the second and third episodes. I missed the "GRID" setup episode three. I started watching the fourth when they started talking about the rare cancers in MMWR.

I think it's a great series. I was born in 1978, so I was small when most of this started. I remember the death and grim reaper type AIDS posters. I remember it being called the AIDS virus and society thinking less of lesbians and gays, and even less of those infected.

I'll never understand what it's like to be a minority or homosexual and be discriminated against.  It's really showing me the struggles and pains that many on this board lived with and through.

I watched last nights episode where HAART was discovered and the prep for marriage equality is around the corner.

Like I said, I'll never know what many went through and it's sad how they were treated.  To me it's a good series that I think we need to have on TV.  I never realized what bigotry and hate lesbians and gays went through other than the obvious marriage inequality that was finally fixed.  It's eye opening and uncomfortable for those of us that were unaware.

I started this series yesterday and have caught up except I haven't seen yesterday's last installment.
While I found the beginning a little annoying with some of the casting but then again it was a TV series. The stories themselves were heart felt and quite interesting, I was hooked after about half hour in.
It was well worth watching and I can say more but don't want to spoil it for anyone who hasn't watched yet.

I agree, and we are stronger people when we do come together, that's what I got out of the gay/lesbian alliance.
