Frottage....

I have read numerous postings on your very helpful site regarding frottage and oral sex HIV transmission risks. I am a man and had an encounter with a masseuse in Asia ~10 days ago. We did not have intercourse and at no time did I penetrate her. She did give me oral for about 5 minutes but I did not ejaculate. She had braces and I felt a bit of scraping during the oral (yes, sexy, I know...) but I had no cuts or scrapes on my penis afterwards. This took place in a bath tub with ample soapy water involved etc. She also rode me a bit in the tub underneath the water but no penetration occurred and I was quite careful to keep the "frottage action" away from the tip of my penis.

Following the bath she massaged me on the bed then rode me for about 10 minutes rubbing her vagina on my penis. She was quite wet, but stayed mostly at the base of my penis/scrotum area and I do not believe she ever rubbed against the head. There was definitely no penetration. We also kissed but not deeply. She offered sex and had a condom but I did not do it as it just seemed too high risk. I ejaculated via hand job with baby oil as the lubricant.

I know that on many other posts you have vehemently stated "No penetration, no HIV, the virus lives deep inside the woman by the cervix and requires full penetration involving specific/specialized conditions to spread." Those posts have given me great comfort, particularly as I am truly not promiscuous and this was a one time outlier event for me. I guess I would just like the reassurance that there is no way under the sun given the scenario I described above that HIV was transmitted. It seems quite counter-intuitive for example that HIV is present in vaginal secretions but cannot spread during frottage to the penis tip.

I also know this is just an HIV site but I am quite concerned about herpes...though other sites I have read state that typically symptoms appear within 2-10 days of exposure and I am now on day 11 with no symptoms whatsoever. No need to respond on that matter unless you have information you feel is relevant. I do plan to see my Dr. tomorrow to discuss.

Nothing you are reporting put you at risk for HIV. You are worrying needlessly.

Herpes is transmitted by skin-to-skin contact. Discuss that issue with your doctor if you have any reason to believe there is cause for concern.

You don't need to test for HIV. And you won't need to in terms of sexual risk as long as you consistently use condoms for vaginal and anal intercourse.  Protecting yourself really is that simple.
