back to the gym!
« on: December 12, 2006, 11:26:06 pm »
Ok I did it! I went back to the gym tonite. Last time I stepped foot in a gym was the nite I started to feel really really tired, and had to come home from work the next day. A year ago- Seroconversion nite! (or whatever it's called).

It felt good. I went easy on myself (I always did, but more so tonite). Felt my way around the place to get reacclimated.

The boys were not too hot (just one), I have to go earlier next time!

I recommend it to anyone else who's taken a leave of the gym lately.

Last time I went back to the Gym I picked up another nail fungus. Can't show my chest because of Fuzeon Bumps, can't show my legs or but because of D4T, now can't show even my feet because of nail fungus. I ain't turning my livingroom into a Gym either

Dear lord!

Paul - have fun at the gym. :)  You better look good if I am to force your unconditional surrender. :)

My ass has just been lazy, I'm not even gonna try to front. Even though gym memberships are pricey, I could just turn it to the fitness channel, I really could..... ;D Paul, congrats on going to the gym, too bad you didn't see a fine one, maybe next time.  ;)

I always say that sports is the best way to get over depression , to feel responsible for your health condition and what is more, to take you health under control. It happens that I`m too busy, or lazy...but I try to get back to fitness. It works, it improves not only my figure but gives me stimulus to live and to feel healthy.

Well dgls44 I have the same problem with the fungus under my nails and have been using lamasil 1% spray and it helps the fungus has cleared and I can now walk barefoot with confidance or you could ask your pharmasist for novartis anti-fungal ointment and trust me they are more than willing to help.

Looks like we have a challenge here that is if you guys are up to it. Lets gym for a few months and in say 4 months time we have pics of our upper bodies to show the progress either if someone wants to loose weight or one who is building that way we can also motivate each other..........

Congrats on returning to the gym. Getting started is always the hardest part. Glad to hear you are taking it slow as it's easy to get sore when you first start exercising again.

Paul, did you post: 'Felt my way around the place to get reacclimated?'  Now I don't think we even need a gay code decipherer here, do we? :)  And since you skipped the steam room and sauna, I guess that leaves an interesting locker room and showers, sort of like the one at the old Jack La L. in the Woolworth builiding which was men only 4 times a week.   :o If I could ever get the money coming in to equal the money going out, I would be back in the pool.  Win

I honestly think the gym is the best thing you can do to help you feel better when your down.... Its good for your mental and physical health. You feel so much happier and in a better mood after an endorphine pumping workout :-D

hehe i dont go during peak hours when there are hot guys though (i should but i hate waiting for machines or dumbells :-O...im impatient)

Josh,  I would avoid peak hours for the reasons you mentioned.  But I would advise anyone considering a new membership with the New Year to make sure to find out about PEEK hours... and to make sure that the locker layout is accomodating.  Nothing worse than having sight lines blocked by steel.  :) Win

Win, you're too funny.

I have 2 gym memberships-Bally's (of course) but it's 25 minutes away., and the local gym. They have two separate shower stalls, and no one ever uses them. No steam, no sauna available. I guess they want you to concentrate on your workout on the gym floor instead!

I found this new gym near where I work.  I'm doing reformer pilates and man it is tough, but I love it.  I'm trying to maintain my 3 - 4 day a week workout.  I'm serious about walking that 1/2 marathon next year so Fallen you're on -- pics in 4 months!!  As for upper body pics though, well since I'm a woman I will reserve the right to be wearing a sports bra or something -  ;D  I may be HIV + but you still gotta pay to play  ::)

Um.. can we count the 4 months starting in January... Christmas cookies do kind of negate the workout :-)  I'm just hoping to maintain through the holidays....

Now explain to me, what are butt babies?

Butt babies are desperate, fervent, and determined attempts at creating children with only one set of chromosomes within the anal cavity.  They are a biological impossibility.

Not sure how we wandered from Back to the gym to Butt Babies  - butt since we are here:

I'd never heard the term berfore - and the nerd in me forced a Google search - first result:

http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Butt+Baby

Think this falls into the Too Much Information catagory - so let's go to the gym again :)
