Step, our focus here is strictly on HIV. Even without using a condom getting a blowjob is not a risk for HIV, no matter what other details you throw into the mix. It's one of the most common of sexual activities and in the entire history of the epidemic there has never been a confirmed case of transmission to a guy in that manner.

So the condom that was used on you could have beend dripping with someone else's semen and it still wouldn't have been a risk. HIV is a fragile virus. The only confirmed risks for transmitting is sexually are through unprotected vaginal and anal intercourse. Use condoms everytime for those activities and you will be well protected.

As for other STDs, they are easier to acquire. Because of that we advise anyone who is sexually active to at least annually if not every 6 months to have a full STD panel done to make sure you haven't picked anything up.

You don't have to worry about HIV this time nor is there any need for you to test for it.

If you go to a clinic or see your doctor you can ask for a full STD panel to be done .

Some of the things they will test for is chlamydia , gonorrhea , syphilis and Hepatitis .
Some conditions like Herpes , HPV and syphilis can be acquired from skin to skin contact .

Anyone who is sexually active should be having a full sexual health care check-up, including but not limited to hiv testing, at least once a year and more often if unprotected intercourse occurs.

If you aren't already having regular, routine check-ups, now is the time to start. As long as you make sure condoms are being used for intercourse, you can fully expect your routine hiv tests to return with negative results.

Don't forget to always get checked for all the other sexually transmitted infections as well, because they are MUCH easier to transmit than hiv. Some of the other STIs can be present with no obvious symptoms, so the only way to know for sure is to test.

Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, correctly and consistently, and you will avoid hiv infection. It really is that simple!

I knew that, I am bothering you lot.... Please bear sometime for me. I am getting a different note from another note that...

"Books state that there cannot be any infection if the secretions are dried.
But it is not true that even with dripping semen there is no chance of infection."

After I read this, I am really scared. So, Can you please let me know that Are you sure that, I will not be affected by HIV ?

Thanks & REgards,
Stephen

If you read Andy's advice you will see that all your questions have already been answered and that you never had a risk ... get on with life and put this behind you .

We would not have time to reply to people with any risk assessment if we spent the time it would take to chase down and "correct" other web sites.

Some sites haven't changed their information for twenty years. Some use ancient information without fact checking. Some don't understand the difference between "live" virus and "viable" virus. Others disregard the satistical data. Some simply have an agenda that is anti-gay sex, anti-sex in general, and certainly anti-serodiscordant sex.

We use the most recent, the most reliable, and the most accurate data available when making risk assessment regarding HIV infection.

That is why we are the best, most consistent, and most reliable source for that information on the web.

"Many people, especially in the gay community, turn to oral sex as a safer alternative in the age of AIDS. And with HIV rates rising, people need to remember that oral sex is safer sex. It's a reasonable alternative."
