Dear admins.

I have just had blood test to check my health condition after ending COVID-19 period.

The nurse used the cotton wool stick with visible blood of another person on it ( I swear I saw the visible blood and I'm sure the blood from another person) and the cotton wool may be with alcohol to clean the injecting point before she injected.

After injecting and drawing my blood, she used another clean cotton wool stick to stop the bleeding and then used band-aid to cover my injecting point. It was about 30-40 seconds (under 1 minute) between my test and the previous old woman's test

Am I at risk of HIV or hepatitis B or C when the nurse used the cotton wool stick with the blood  to clean my skin before injecting me. Do I need test or use PEP (it's still in 72 hours to use PEP) Thank you very much

Please my case is somewhat diferent from casual ones. She used the blood cotton wool stick to clean my skin before injecting. So the blood may be on my skin. And when she injected me, the blood on my skin may flow into the injecting hole and enter my vein. I'm really worried. After suffering Covid-19 and now suffer this situation

Hiya,

Read your post three times, it isn't an HIV risk.

Here's what you need to know to avoid HIV infection:
Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse correctly and consistently, every time, with no exceptions. Consider talking to your healthcare provider about taking PrEP as an additional layer of HIV protection

Keep in mind that some sexual practices described as 'safe' in terms of HIV might still pose a risk for transmission of other STI's, so please get tested at least yearly for STI's, including but not limited to HIV. Test more frequently if any condomless intercourse occurs.

Note that it is possible to have an STI and show no signs or symptoms and, the only way of knowing is by testing.

Kind regards

Jim

Not sure what this means.

Anyhow, I see you are asking the same questions on another HIV site. I have nothing to add to what they have told you.

Relax and move on with your life.

Thank you sir. I mean that casual cases are that nurses use blood cotton wool to stop the bleeding (or cover the injecting hole). My case is the nurse use the blood cotton wool to clean my skin before injecting. And then she injected and use another clean cotton wool to stop the bleeding and used band-aid to cover my injecting hole. I'm worried because when she used the blood cotton wool to clean my skin and the blood may be on my skin. After that, she injected and draw the blood, the blood on my skin may flow into the hole and vein.

I have already said it's no HIV risk and to move on with your life.

So, there is no reason to test for HIV over this situation as you had no HIV exposure from this situation. Move on with your life.
