Jeff has promised me he will get me to the hotel one way or another.  I'm holding him to it. He told me before that he would pick me up from the airport but wasn't sure he'd be getting there on time.  Hopefully he will since he booked the room and I can't get in without him lol.

I'm pretty excited!

I leave LaG in NY on Thurs., July 30 at 9:45 AM and arrive at Memphis Int'l at 11:57 AM.  Delta flight 4009, a Canadair regional jet 900, Endeavor Air whatever that means...LOL.

I depart Memphis on Tues., Aug 4 at the very early time of 7 AM.

cdj900 is the aircraft type, built by bombardier as a fuel efficient regional flyer

endeavor is wholly owned by delta, operates delta connection flights to secondary hubs

it's a very modern plane, less than 10 years old. narrow body, single aisle, seats about 80+

enjoy your flight

Gary, yes, we have reservations at the same hotel. Diedra was very helpful - talked about the weather for about 20 minutes.  Gonna be hot!

Oh, Jan, wait until you see her - she's done quite a bit of growing. We can't wait to see all of you. You're right, it's been far too long.

Does anyone know of a shuttle service from the airport to anywhere close to the hotel? I've searched my tail off and get nothing.

A cab ride is $30.00 each way plus tip so I was trying to avoid spending $72 for a 10 mile ride. :)

You can do Uber from the airport for about half that cost. Unless your hotel runs a shuttle I don't believe there is a public shuttle. The city does operate a bus from the airport to downtown. It will get you in walking distance of your hotel. Just click on the map or call MATA for more details.

Thanks Dach. I called the hotel and they don't offer a shuttle. Uber sounds like a good option. I'll check out the bus as well.

Even though I could only spend one eve with everyone. It was great to see them. You will never meet a nicer group of people. anyone who hasn't been really needs to go at least one time and meet the real people behind the names on here.. I loved them all on here and  love them even more now!  Great time!

This was my second AMG. I was exhausted the entire trip but it really didn't bother me as much as usual due to the company. That may seem like a benign comment to some but real hugs, real laughter, and real smiles can do wonders.  :)
