Teachers having sex with underage students.
« on: April 29, 2014, 09:09:23 pm »
Every week it seems that HuffingtonPost publishes a story of a female teacher having sex with a teenager.

I used to think, hmm, this must be on the rise... Cause I read about it all the time.

But now I'm thinking, maybe its just the trash media reporting it all the time.  I just thought back to my school years and I remember two rumoured male teacher - female teenager incidents.  So that would be one school district over 6 years time or so. (I wouldn't have understood a sex scandal or been told of it before Jr High, I think.) I never heard of female teacher with male teenagers.  (There was a gruesome homosexual rape murder but that has to be a very rare, outlier occurrence.)

So multiply that by the number of schools across the country, and ick, its depressing to think about.

What happened to the other post?  Anyway, there was another case here today of a female teacher allegedly having sexual relations and sexting a student.  From this article, it doesn't appear there was actual intercourse.

It does seem there are more female teachers being reported lately.  Perhaps male students are more likely to tell friends, so female teachers just get caught more.  I don't know.  I think these teachers are trying to recapture their youth.  I have friends, who hang out with their teen kids and their friends.  They dress like them and treat their kids like a friend.  One friend of a friend had sex with her daughter's ex.  The boy was 18, but I still found that creepy.  I'm sure that will be a topic for her daughter's therapy sessions.

I read the reader comments to see the different reactions.
It was the ones might expect.
The guy who say, lucky boy!
The many who are just icked out by it.
The one that helped me see things clealy was a guy who said when he was a teenager he probably would have been excited and kept his mouth shut. But now as a 20 something he sees the ick factor of an adult choosing not to experience her sexuality with other adults. Basically, why its child abuse and gross....

On a tangential issue, I just discovered two movies about this. It seems Adam Sandler's 2012 That's My Boy has teacher student sex (and procreation) as the pivotal plot point.  And James Franco upcoming Palo Alto.  So yeah, I think he was trolling us with the whole sexting with a minor scandal a few weeks back. Or, as an actor he was being amorally "method" and curious to live the experience????

I cannot bear this behaviour , its abusive to there own children in the group. Grow up learn boundaries. Youth is very beautiful its there for the middle age to "sigh" at , and that's all.
