Does anyone know anything about low dose naltrexone? My friend has ms and is taking it and keeps telling me about it for hiv!!I had never heard of it and have done a little bit of research but still don't really know what it is or does

I think that it is out-of-date in the western world with the modern HIV drugs. There is still some research in Africa where no HIV drugs are available, but here You can forget it confidently.
But the benefits for MS seem to be interesting.
I took low dose prednisone/prednisolone 10mg many years ago. There was a small success but nothing compared to the HIV drugs.

There are newer studies from 2011 on low dose naltrexone (LDN).
LDN combined with standard ART increases CD4 and CD4% faster compared to just ART:

LDN alone did not prevent CD4 drop but maintained CD4% and reduced HIV viral load:

LDN alone is not advisable for HIV but combined with HAART seems to be beneficial for CD4 counts and percentage.
I got interested in LDN since I get red patches on my face when I eat fast carbohydrates. The red patches started when I was in the AIDS zone and match the symptoms of psoriasis flaring up. Some people got cured from psoriasis by using LDN for 6+ months. I haven't started taking it but am considering it.
