Jeff - yes, that was body paint, it was a fun art project I did in college. There were 6 of us, each in a color of the pride flag. The most fun was after the photo shoot when the colors all blended together (if you know what I mean)

I have especially fond memories of an establishment named Yanko in the Place de Clichy and several establishments about mid-way up the Rue St Denis. I was especially impressed by the flip-down seats and roll of toilet paper available for clean-up. It was all so civilized.
