Gay Dog Refused Entry inside Australian Restaurant

Gay Rights for Dogs?  I'd heard the country down-under could be as discriminating towards gays as America, but this is ridiculous.

That story doesn't seem real somehow.  If the management of the restaurant is so amazingly stupid, better off not eating there anyway.

Well when you find out make sure to figure out the corresponding hankie code, so he knows what color hankie to tie around his tail.

When I was a kid my mom had a poodle that would walk around in circles humping air outside a closed door if someone was having sex . That's how my brother got busted for sneaking his girlfriend in the window one night .

...he was refused entry after staff misheard his female companion, and thought his "guide dog" was a "gay dog."

See, even Austrailians can't understand an Aussie accent.  ;)

Sounds like someone in the resturant management is a bit gay sensitive.  He or she "protest too much."

I was actually thinking that the waiter must be walking on pins and needles...

"Did that woman just say that dog was gay!"

Either that or he/she knows the managers well enough to know a good set up when they see it...

Does this mean there will be a test the dog's sexual orientation so other dogs wont be influence by that dog's behavior.  Afterall, he was wearing leather.   ;)

Actually we were settled by the poms, ... we just got a crapload of german immigrants ages ago...

This story didn't make it into the local media, but its all over the world? lol

Gay or not, you will probably find that in SA the law only allows guide dogs in restaurants and cafes.

It was that way in NSW until very recently, and still is that way in QLD. There was a big hullabaloo in Mosman last year when Council Rangers started handing out fines to the well-to-do ladies of that suburb for having dogs in cafes. The law was subsequently changed.
