Support group in Chicago?
« on: January 31, 2007, 07:56:08 am »
Hi there
Does anyone know of a support group that might exist in Chicago for people who are not
necessarily positive but have a loved one who is? I've been trying to find a few and keep
hitting dead ends? Any suggestions on who to contact?
I would really like to become involved in this type of a group because I feel like I have a lot to share and
a lot to learn in order to continue being as supportive and understanding as I can.

Any and all suggestions and leads are welcome!

Hey there Med,

I live in chicago too.  This is a good question.

tpan.org might have something or be able to steer you in the right direction.
howardbrown.org
centeronhalsted.org
aidschicago.org

There's also the Rush Univ. CORE center, but I couldn't find their website.  I know they have support groups also.

take care,
brian

I lived in Chicago many years ago, Tpan had several support groups. Hopefully the link works.

Thanks for the info.....I called TPAN a while ago and they didn't really have anything
for a  +/- couple but I'll try them again to see if anything may have come up recently.
I'll also try the other sites as well.

Thanks again!  ;D
