Yeah , he was back and forth............dual nicks as I remember well, but I obviously have missed the farewell note............he has a lot of burden on his chest fighting his own demons , but don`t we all do the same ?

Actually, I don't think it is best left alone. If you don't address the issue you cannot make sure it doesn't happen again. The people who really do matter are the ones still in this forum.

You are flamebaiting Boo's friends, and even worse, your are flamebaiting Boo -- potentially provoking another round of new accounts, multiple bannings, etc. This is all been a horrible experience for the mods, and you seem not to care about that -- it matters more to you to get the last word in, even if it means stirring this dangerous pot again.

Consider yourself warned. And frankly, we're losing patience with these multiple warnings. As you know, you've run out of TO's.

Please give him my 'fond wishes', too. I didn't PM him a lot, but did occasionally. I generally enjoyed his posts and his sense of humor. I was hoping he was just taking a break and hadn't been banned... I hate when that happens to people (getting banned, that is).

In light of this post and my impending perma-ban if I don't shape up, I am requesting the mods put me on an irrevocable 60 day time out to begin on monday. I have some things to take care of and respond to till then like the tshirt thread and a few other ongoing threads. This is Self requested and I hope the mod's will honor my request.

If I don't do this, I surely will end up banned in my current state.

I need time and being here probably will only result in my getting banned permanently which is not something I want. I have alot of things to work out.

this forum is about supporting people with hiv.

Many of us, including me, have failed in that stated goal. One does not need to like or even understand the other person, but we should acknowledge that perspective.

In this particular forum alot of people, including me, can be very agressive and rude. It is baiting and that's an art in itself... an art which thus far has only warranted warnings from the mods... in addition to two bans over my lifetime for what they considered "over the top" behavior.

The next warning I get won't be a warning. It will be a permaban. I do not want this and I do not think any other members who can be equallly inflammatory want this for themsselves.

I will address the banning policy in a separate thread soon.

This is one reason I've requested to remove myself. Even if I can discipline myself from making generally rude comments, I doubt I can restrain myself from responding to flamebait.

All of us who engage in this have forgotten what these forums are about.

Hopefully, when i'm back, I'll understand that more... I mentally know it, but my actions don't speak it now.

Who else is willing to take up my 60 day challenge?

Even if it's only me, I will have bettered myself.

Dingo I've been there. I won't go into details. I know what you mean by being unable to respond to post and have that response lead to a ban. I think that your request is a good thing, and I hope that the mods will agree to it.

Bailey, I'm going to be completely honest here and risk getting in trouble for it, but I need to say it. You can talk as much as you want about wanting to better yourself and take responsibility for your actions and all of that bullshit they teach you in elementary school about good character. You can blame it on your situation right now, your drinking, whatever you'd like. It doesn't matter. If you think you can pull the wool over people's eyes with comments about how you'd like to change and what a bad boy you've been then, at least when it comes to me, it's not going to work. I can't speak for anyone else.

As long as I've known you, you've always been this way. You've been cranky and rude and unhelpful. Everything is about you. Even when you claim to help people it's all about you. I think you're selfish and rude, and if the people here knew half of the sick, spiteful, hateful shit you've said to me I doubt many of them would ever speak to you again. I'm going to redirect a question to you that you asked me not too long ago. Do you think anyone respects you? You get backed into a corner and instead of taking responsibility for it you blame the drinking, you blame the flamebaiting, you blame everyone but yourself.

I hope you feel mind-bendingly painful guilt the rest of your life.

Dingo has attacked everyone on here, in some way, including me. But you should look at the overall picture. Dingo needs helps, and he realizes it. Is he ready for the help? Maybe yes, maybe not. I guess not, right now, but Dingo if you're reading this, you know you need help, and you know you need to finally get your ass off and find someone that will help you get over the demons of that mix of alcohol addiction and hiv scare.

I think a timeout is a good idea, as long as he seeks serious counselling. Mouse, you have to take into account the state of mind of the person that replies to your posts. It will help.

To say he's attacked me is the grossest understatement I've ever heard. I don't blame you for not understanding the situation, because you aren't involved.
