I was on this site long before it became a giant ad.. I sorta makes me feel sick to my stomach.. I know all the work that peter and the rest put into this but now I just feel lost.. big city.. no train if you know what i mean. we have lost so many .and yet folks think that this just needs a few pills and a flu shot.. I.m extremely lucky to still be alive since 1986.. or am I

just a random thought.. no disrespect meant for anybody.

For a lot of people that's true, and they are lucky. We should be happy for such people as it's what we have all fought for over 30 years.

But yeah, for a minority of us mostly old timers the reality is very different. I'm heading off in two hours to begin daily opioid treatment for chronic extreme neuropathy pain, and basically the last five years of my life have barely been worth living, but I just plug along because I'm not the type to jump off a bridge or slit my wrists.

I'm sorry that you feel "lost" on this forum these days as I know you were active a decade ago. I've lost more than a handful of friends/acquaintances during that time period as well. But I have many, many more that are doing OK or at least coasting along like I am.

Otherwise I hope you are doing OK and enjoy your holidays.

ps: the ads do not bother me so much because they're on every other web site I visit and have learned to just not look at them

Hi
I recognise the tone off your post. Also I use what Miss P posted to try and re balance however it's harder to do when I have the blues , then I can get basically bitter and twisted . Not a good place. Tend to get out of it by blowing up the bitter & twisted until I can laugh at it . Sometimes works.

Hello Liz

I have been thinking about your post , one off the things I can only do when I am in Tip - top condition is respond to the Newbie thread . Either it's because I would be faking it or I just conclude that the huge optimism there is another form off denial.

The worst is when the Post describes LTS as a group who the poster is completely divorced from. That makes me nostalgic and I have to remind myself that there where plenty off deniers. Before good treatments.

Hope you rejoin the forum. And. I wish you all the best
Michael
