Blood Pressure Study With Amazing Findings
« on: September 13, 2015, 01:49:28 am »
The study was stopped over a year early, because researchers said the results were clear.  They said lowering bp (systolic) to 120 or below reduced heart attacks, heart failure, and strokes by a third, and deaths of any cause by 25%.

There had been the thinking that the elderly actually needed higher blood pressure, but they say that is not clear.  With a beta blocker, mine is usually around 106/68 with a pulse around 68.  When my anxiety is bad, it will read higher.

My systolic usually  stayed in the mid 120s to mid 130s .
It was 104  when I had my colonoscopy . I have a cuff at home and monitor it every now and then, and has been staying below 106.
The change came after I stopped norvir .I'm not saying that was the reason,
but that was the only thing that changed, no changes in life or anything else.
