I arrived at the airport at 330am and to my suprise the US Airways was not opened until 430am! After standing there in line waiting for them to let us through the gate to go through customs It was going on 5am first I had to let my luggage get scanned and then I had to return to the long line again to get checked myself. By the time I made it through that process it was 6am. Now the fun part getting to my gate to go back to the US. Plane left Montreal at 655am at this time no smoke no meds no water no bathroom on the plane yep you gussed it right a damn prop plane.

Got to Philladelphia at 830am was at Terminal E and my terminal was B. To my suprise no smoking at this airport either, had to go through another search at Terminal C, I mean damn I got off the plane and just wanted to make it to Terminal B 1 hour wait through this mess TSA from hell. They caught me with a tube of toothpaste. I know I could have propably killed someone with that tube of toothpaste. Finally got on the Plane at 1000am to find out we were delayed on the plane for taking off for a hour.

Made it to Charlotte at 1245pm and still a race through the airport from terminal D to Terminal B got there at 1250pm finally made it there but yep another delay we had to wait on the flight attenedant to get off of one plane to get to ours. She finally makes it to the Gate and says she needs at least 5 more minutes before she will let us board. DAMN!!!!!!!!!!!! There were alot of pissed off passengers on this flight it only held 50 people and she had to take her time and count heads on the plane that took 15minutes to do that. Then the demon came out of her and almost threw a guy off the plane another 15min wait. Finally arrive in Bristol Tn at 235pm.

Damn flight and wait from hell!!!!!! Granted I did not get to smoke from 3am to 3pm and I was fit to be tied.

Hi Jerry,

We also flew US Airways, but we didn't get to the airport in Montreal 'til around 8:00.  There was no wait at their ticket counter and it took about 45 minutes for us to get through customs.  The US customs officer was really nice and asked if David and I were related.  I told him yes, and then had to explain that we were married in Canada.  He congratulated us and asked us the questions about what we had with us.  Security was a breeze too.

We were on a small-ish plane too, but at least it wasn't a turbo-prop!  It was a regional jet and it was kind of like riding a bus.  It did have a bathroom, though.  I'm not sure why you had that crappy plane.  I despise those commuters.  We also went to Philadelphia then back home.  Luckily, we bypassed Charlotte completely.  All you guys who smoke ... I can tell you that it's great to be a non-smoker (since '90), especially when flying!  I'm glad you, and everybody else, made it home safely.

David

Zephyr and I left for the airport at 830.  Minh had called Zephyr the night before and told her how bad security/customs was and to make sure we had plenty of time.  Well, we breezed through by 915 and had 3 hours to wait.  Like David, I've quit smoking so didn't miss that at all, but Zephyr is one of "youse" and she was having fits.

Had an hour delay in Atlanta due to rain and finally arrived in Sacramento around 930P...1230A Montreal time.  Another 2 hour drive to Red Bluff, and I was home.  My bed felt so good.  I don't think I ever slept more than 4 or 5 hours at the hotel in Montreal.  Pills do that to me everytime.

Took a nice nap yesterday afternoon and slept 7 hours last night so I'm finally getting back on schedule.

Jerry, you're schedule sounds like hell.  It's too bad we had to rush you out of the hotel for that 3A cab driver.  That time waiting at the airport would have been better time spent in the room.  :),  Oh well, next time...<sigh>.
