What's everyone got planned? Do you watch for the game or for the commercials?
I saw a preview of the Kia Comemrcial with the baby in the spacesuit and the baby animals all in spacesuits, looked adorable ;) The Mercedes one looks like it might be good although they are only showing 3 seconds of it on the previews.
And how about Beyonce, I cannot wait to see her at halftime. As many of you know when artists perform at halftime shows it is often some of the worst performances, given the acoustics, and layout, etc... but it's always fun to watch. The outlyer in this would be Justin and Janet and the infamous "wardrobe Malfunction", which was epic.
I'll be going to a SuperBowl Party and getting my game on, and maybe a few Dos Equis as well ;) Should be a blast!

I've got a pork shoulder smoking as we speak. Will meet up with friends at our favorite watering hole to watch on their BIG screen. I'm looking forward to Jennifer Hudson singing with the choir from Newtown. Should be a tearjerker. No prediction from me cuz I ain't jinxing my boys from the bay.
Oh, before I forget Ms. Wump will you pleeeeze pick the Ravens, so SanFran can be assured a victory. :P

I've got two different types of DiGiorno (sp?) pizzas, some wings, and liquid refreshments...
Trying to bust out this homework assignment for Organizational Management - which deals a lot with motivation (much of which I am lacking) - so that I will be able to focus on the game/commercials/and obligatory crotch watching ::)
Nothing like a football player in tight pants in the Dome - which is temperature controlled, so no shrinkage occurring.... ;D

Oh, and I bought fixins fo' nachos but forgot to get anything to drink. Is it OK to drink water during a Super Bowl? And I guess I should root for Baltimore as it's only 95 miles away. I bet the queens at The Hippo (http://clubhippo.com/) will be feasting on crab legs today. Fuck that pork shoulder!

So how many more NFL players need to commit suicide due to brain injuries before you people realize your celebrating unnecessary violence? Silly question I know, seeing as how football culture is as embedded in the Southern psyche as shining up five Glocks. I guess next year's Super Bowl we can gather up 50 or so children and have them sing a song and make us all feel better.

I'm supposed to be fixin something for a pot luck at work. I so hate these kind of things. The event we attended yesterday had a buffet style spread set up and one nasty ass guys was eating right over top of it all.
Thinking of just carrying in an empty bowl and hope nobody notices. I hate feeling obligated to bring a dish when I won't be eating anyways.

Sloppy Joes ( 96 % Lean meat), Creamy cole slaw, Corn on the cob, and celery, with blue cheese, that's our menu tonight.
However, I doubt the game will be on, and I will be packing the food up to take into work tonight.
Neither of us are great fans of football ! :)

In my opinion football has got to be the dumbest most boring game ever! In the rest of the world they call soccer "football" which in my opinion is a hell of a lot more fun to watch because it's more up-tempo and understandable. Plus with American football you can't even see most of the guys who are attractive because they all covered up in gear! Snooooz! However I do tune in for the great halftime shows the likes of Janet Jackson, Madonna, and Beyonce. But all in all I'd rather watch Downton Abbey any day!

Tending to agree with you there, I wasn't that impressed. I've seen much better half time performances.
Even the commercials seem more boring this year. Perhaps it's because I pulled the "I don't feel well" card to avoid going to the SB party and am not having an adult beverage?

I was sorta tempted to watch the SB live on BBC2 at 11pm last night (call it a morbid fascination) but thankfully I
came to my senses fell asleep on the couch around 10:30 as was thus spared. I doubt that they would have aired the adverts though - the BBC doesn't do commercial adverts, they only advertise their own up-coming programs.
