Title: New law in Massachusetts
Post by: Wade on February 15, 2016, 09:16:27 am
I have been watching this for some time , it may force insurance companies
in other states to follow . I had a hump surgically removed when I lived in Florida
probably ten years ago. This was considered cosmetic by my insurance company , and I paid thousands out of pocket.

My right eye was not tended to and left open to rub against the sheet during the entire surgery. I suffered with a badly damaged cornea for several years before receiving a cornea transplant. The pain is gone but I now have limited vision out of that eye , and have worn glasses ever since.

Point being , this could have been avoided had I been in a hospital setting instead of a cosmetic facility which was all I could afford. It's time big insurance stepped up to the plate and cover our reconstructive surgeries . I live in Massachusetts now and I am waiting to see how it will pan out to cover some of my other lipo issues.
