Do I Have HIV? / Re: Help

The word “clean” to indicate "Negative" HIV / STI status suggests that an HIV-positive result & therefore people living with HIV are unclean and dirty.

The term "clean" can be very offensive to some people living with HIV and since this is an HIV community forum I would have expected you to have some sense and courtesy before posting asking for our assistance. A lot of members here are new to living with HIV, they have enough to deal with already without your stigmatizing language and attitude and my primary goal is to keep this a safe space for them, not you and that is the "main topic" here as you call it.

I understand from your posts that you are an asshole, I can't change that but behave yourself here and if you post again using that term it will lead to a ban from the forums.

Not an HIV risk to you.

As of yet no

Perfect.

I found out I’m gonna be a dad with my ex

Well if you did have condomless sex with her test with a blood draw (lab) HIV antibody test. A non-reactive result at that time would rarely change. Also, consider getting an STI screening for far easier-to-acquire STIs and talk to your healthcare provider about getting vaccinated against HPV, Hepatitis A & B.

Here's what you need to know to reduce your HIV risks:
Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse correctly and consistently, with no exceptions. Talk to your healthcare provider about PrEP as an additional layer of protection against HIV and getting vaccinated against HPV, Hepatitis A & B.

Keep in mind that some sexual practices described as safe in terms of acquiring HIV still pose a risk for other easier-acquired STIs. So please do get tested at least yearly for STIs, including but not limited to HIV, and more frequently if condomless intercourse occurs.

Also, note that it is possible to have an STI and show no signs or symptoms; testing is the only way to know.

Kind regards

Jim

Yeah, and you are an asshole for coming here expecting our help and using such language.

Now answer the question, have you been having sex with your ex without a condom? It's a simple yes or no answer I am looking for.

Sorry to beat a dead horse like this but in a bit of a panic right now

I had an incident at 1:04am Sunday morning with a girl I met at a bar
Didn’t finish wore a condom but when I was done (didn’t finish and pulled out the condom was half way down middle of my shaft head still covered

I wiped up moments later and washed up and peed after.

The girl claimed to be clean 100% and no issues at all

However the next night around my urethra was red it tingled a bit and had when peeing and random zapping shoots of pain

I’ve had urethritis before and it felt like that just not as bad I texted the girl to reconfirm she was sure she was clean and she was

Uthretis is on going but as of today 3 days later I have been itchy all over with some redness of skin like it’s irritated head to feet itching

As of this post it’s now 5 days after the event.

I’m terrified as I found out I’m gonna be a dad with my ex who I’ve slept with and I don’t want to be sick of get her or the baby sick.

I’ve done alot of reading both online and here and I’m stressed out and confused on mixed accounts & information.

Any and all information/ support would be greatly appreciated as I’m just terrified right now

I can relate to how you feel. After years of being undetectable I had three six monthly checks all with increasing numbers. Ranged from 22 to just over 200. Then two months ago back to undetectable. The Dr at the time showed no concern what so ever. She initially blamed the laboratory on the first one and just shrugged at the next two results.

Try to relax and stop thinking about the numbers, you are on good medication, I am sure yours will do the same as mine did and drop back down. Occupy your mind some how, when not working I read. Meditate daily. Possibly find a hobby that helps you relax.

It took over 6 years to get over 200 t4 cells.

Try and book in to see a counsellor recommended by your HIV health care service and or start booking longer dr's appointments do you can talk these issues through.

Good luck

ojo.            Hello again!… I was thinking that back in the day before I started having problems with CMV retinitis, I would tell my doctor, they should specialist, that I wanted to buy me a new car and I remember he telling me, no if I were you, I would wait, I think he knew that I was going to go blind I was going to die, then I go and get a mortgage for 30 years. Like I said, I told to myself if I die, the bank would take the house back problem solved, but I never thought the same about buying me a new car. I guess I was too happy  with my Mercury cooler otherwise I wouldn’t have listened to the doctor… Those years were really bad and we had to take difficult decisions like Leatherman stopping Sustiva come. I remember the awful taste of Ritonavir, and we, still took it, The tablet Videx, The T20, Fuzeon, an injection every night, leaving me, some bumps on my tummy, the huge capsules, I can’t remember the name of the medication, but I remember that I had to take six in the morning and six at night because of the interaction with Ritonavir, well now to survive this chronic condition all it takes is one pill day, how lucky you guys are!… Sorry for the rant
