long-term side effects are a worry for all of us. We've all been guinea pigs since the very beginning of this epidemic as scientists look for treatments, vaccines and the cure. Although we do have undeniable proof of the most important long-term effect of any antiretroviral regime - staying alive  ;)

I have been on Stirbild since March of 2013. So far I have not experienced any sides other than my stool is sometimes wet or soft.

I have now been on Stribild for 6 days, and I just finished antibiotics for Giardasis on Friday. Giardiasis is a parasite in the intestines that causes cysts and diahrria. I assumed my "soft stool" that I still have was a residual effect of the giardiasis, but after reading aaware72, maybe it is from the Stribild.

But honestly, that has been no big deal for me.

I'm worried what the long time side affects are.

I'm worried about that as well, but I think everyone that undergoes some sort of treatment (for ANY disease) ponders that same worry as well.

Been on Stribild since July of last year.
Because the Self is whole and complete into It Self, it has no wants. Thus, "No want is the greatest bliss".

This is the state of pure spontaneous self-revealing joy that is sublime and the nature of perfect peace. The ancients called this Sat-Chit-Ananda. (Existence-Consciousness-bliss)

"The Self is always there. It is you. There is nothing but you."

Bhagavan Ramana's teaching is the most beautiful, sublime, and simple. Bhagavan says that Self is the source of all perception and the universe itself.

The Self is the screen on which all experiences are played out and then resolved. Everything we see is only the manifestation of the Self.

Omgeee! I was petrified the first time I took it also. I really didn't have any side affects except for a constant headache. I'd say it took a full two months for me to not feel anything when taking it. I was undetectable after 3 weeks of taking. Good luck to u!

I am! Started on 9/21/2013!  So far so good!!! I pray everyday to the little pill to do its work!!
Today January 20, 2020, I have taken 2378 pills of my ARV since first pill. This means 79 bottles of 30 pills of ARVs at an average of $3950 per bottle or $313,103 USD for my treatment. I have a compliance of 99.83% taking my meds and only .17% (or 4 pills) non-compliant. Of these four pills two I forgot completely, One I lost and one I didn't have with me while traveling! I became UD 3 months after treatment start   ***We are all dealing with this. And we will live long and productive lives!! AND, yes the Lord is my shepherd. Life is good... And thanks for the meds! ***

Update from me.....

I started getting a rash, which I thought was poison ivy. Went to see my ID and she said I was have a reaction to the drugs. She told me to stop taking Stribild and come back to see her in 9 days.

Kinda said, from everything I read I thought it would be so smooth. I know all of us are different and hopefully none of you will have this reaction, but wanted to be honest and let you all know.

ID is suggesting maybe complera as I don't suffer from depression in any way :-(

I will let you know. Yes, I know that complera has two of the same drugs in it, but she has had good results with this switch before.

Hate to hear you had a reaction, POS :( but glad to see you are back on another med. Here's hoping the new one is the one for you!

As for me, a lil over 3 weeks in and I'm doing pretty good. After about 2 weeks, all the dizziness and slight nausea that I was feeling went away and I'm feeling pretty good now. I'm having my labs redrawn in about 10 days and my follow up with my ID doc in about 3 weeks. This will be the first labs since my initial ones so I'm a lil nervous. Hoping for better numbers!

Hope you all are doing well! I'll update again when I get my results!

Hey Poz,

I haven't had my second set of labs done yet either. After taking Stribild for three weeks and the reaction, and now on Atripla for 4 days, I am in need of a move in the right direction.

I was insistent that when I go back next time, I get my blood tested, so the ID said yes. :-)

Please let me know how it goes.
