Could HIV cause this?

Hi! I'm new here. I know that it's not advisable to diagnose with just the symptoms but I hope someone can shed some light until I get the courage to get tested.

I had a 3 min. unprotected vaginal sex with my ex girlfriend 8 months ago, I did not have ejaculation. After about ten weeks, my skin started to peel. It started in my neck and slowly worked it way down to my legs. I had no peeling on my feet and hands and also on my private area. The peeling was very light and did not cause any sores or any injury and it did not hurt. I also did not have fever

I consulted two dermatologist about it, they both said it could have been caused by something I ate or drank. They both ruled out a viral infection because I did not have a fever and did not have peeling on soles of hand and feet. I remember eating lots pf ripped mangoes before the peeling occurred. I don't really know how much mangoes  I consumed, I ate mangoes for about 5 days straight every meal. Although the peeling went away after about a couple of weeks I'm still worried.


Is peeling of the skin like mine a symptom of HIV? Would it occur after 10 weeks? Or is it possibly be due to the mangoes?
Please answer my question I'm so worried!

Nothing you are reporting symptomatically is HIV specific nor indicative HV infection.

You had a single possible exposure so you should get tested. You can wait another 3 weeks and get a conclusive result at 3 months. The odds are way in your favor against transmission having occured. HIV is more difficult to transmit from female to male than the other way around. It was a single exposure. That all means you will very likely test negative, but just to be sure get tested. HIV status is never something to guess about.

Make sure that in the future you are always using condoms for vaginal and anal intercourse. No exceptions.
