Just beautiful...the great thing about turning 60 is I can look and drool and no body takes me seriously, they just put it down to me being a dirty old women...

Next2u -- Thanks.  The last thing I hauled was a load of mulch and compost for my gardens.  I should have some
beautiful tomatoes before the end of June (among other things).

Who wants to come squeeze my tomatoes?

When I first started caretaking for the elderly man I care for he had quite a few young women taking advantage of him.

I was looking for old photos to show my mom and came across this tribute to utter narcisim. The year was 2000, before my CD4 bottomed out, I "mysteriously" lost 30 lbs and the lipoatrophy really set in. Ah, the salad days...



I recently discovered if you Google "lipoatrophy" my name pops right up. Of all things to be associated with an HIV-related, deforming condition is not what I would have chosen.

By my own personal standards I look like crap. I just went from working 3 jobs and caring for my partner with cancer to spending 24/7 caring for my mother who is dying from pancreatic cancer. To workout now I would need to join a gym in Asheville and hire a CNA to come in a watch mom, which given that I'm not working at all isn't happening. I'm where I need to be right now and doing what I need to do. When mom dies I'm going to take care of myself. Given age and lipoatrophy I can't look like that again but I will be fit. I may even do another bodybuilding competition.
