Hi y'all.   So good to have this forum for assistance, help, guidance, and overall moral support.

I am on Day #8 of taking Descovy.  My PCP told me I will be 'fully protected' after 30 days.   However, the more research I found online with journals shows for anal sex male2male its 7 days.   The 30 days is for vaginal tissue.   I trust my PCP but I have definitely encountered they can be a smart physician just with not much Prep experience so tend to recommend longer?

It isn't fully protected to start with.

Anyhow, for receptive anal sex daily PrEP will after 7 days
reach it's best effectiveness levels against HIV.
