« on: October 14, 2007, 03:00:15 pm »
Is anyone here watching it?

Me= Argentina.

Go England!!!!!!!!!  A great game it was.  Well from what little I saw of it (bits and pieces between bar hopping).

Cliff

Who can't decide which anthem he hates most.  Suide Afrika or Argentina.

ummmm, Argentina.  It goes on and on before they even start signing.  And it gets worse and worse the longer it goes on.  oh god, now they are dropping tears over the damn song.

Christ almighty Little Steve! South Africa? I think I can say without a trace of hyperbole that they are like Greatest Enemies Australia Has Ever Known.

I'd back Wales before I'd back the Boers. And for those who are familiar with my prejudice against the Welsh, that's a big call.

I know Matty.

It's such a hard choice as I dislike both teams and don't want either to win. Perhaps I should just go to the beach this weekend and ignore the whole thing. I haven't watched a game yet, so no reason to start now.

It's a horrid game. Matty the Damned went to a Union school and knows that it's a dreadful game played and watched by the Worst People in the World.

New Zealand, France, Argentina, South Africa, Wales -- it's all too horrible to contemplate.

So put your good thongs and boardies on luv, and mince off to the beach. :)

i'm completely clue-free about this thread, except it has something to do with sports.  hell, the superbowl came to atlanta a few years back, and i remained oblivious until nearly kick off time.  yours truly drove around for weeks wondering why everybody was getting so extra worked up about it that year.

i'm not identifying with anything on this thread.

except thongs, boardies and mincing.

I'm a bit worried about next week now I thought South Africa looked brilliant at times yesterday.  We've got Jonny Wilkinson though!

It'd be a shame if something, oh I don't know, happened to Jonny, now wouldn't it?

Well at least they aren’t arguing the toss with those other big girls blouses (New Zealand) about who came seventh .. rather than eighth ;)

Yes, we have Wilkinson...but they have Habana.  That guy is fast as hell.

P.S.- Love the music.  Haven't had a chance to send you a note yet.

Tim is not alone in his sports-related learning disability, I am similarly affected. However, I, like Tim, appreciate the hunky machinery featured in the calendar. I can imagine these uniform-free, sports specimens playing Sock Her and Rug Bee.

Chris/Cliff,

I've done a complete turn around, and now agree with my comrade Matty about the Sth Africans.

I'm barracking for the mother country, England, in the final.

Good to hear Steve!  Habana is definitely the man to stop Cliff it's not as easy as it sounds though.  It's going to have to be trying to stop them from playing, killing the game and winning ugly unfortunately like we've done against France and Australia.  Like I'll be bothered if it works though!

South Africa to win for sure !!  Matty and Fearless you Southern hemisphere traitors.... i couldn't think of a worse choice than England vs Oz in the final, but if it were the case I would reluctantly side with Oz ( and I was bloody born in England 36 years ago!!!).

GO BOKKE  :o

Peter B...... who will be with a big crowd of mates and lots of cold ones on Saturday! ... hopefully watching England crushed by the Boks again !
