Pasteurized Eggs- Safe?

Eggs are high in Selenium and other things.
Besides from that they are simply delicious.

Are pasteurized eggs safe?
Not everyone likes their eggs well-done
Are these eggs safe to eat medium rare?

I was told by my dietitian to make sure eggs were hard boiled/fried when my cd4 was under 200. I love a runny egg and eat em often (my cd4 is over 400 now).  In the UK our hens are vaccinated against salmonella.
I also eat raw egg products and don't worry too much about them, nor do I worry about mouldy cheeses for that matter, even though I'm piling on the pounds  would lay off them if I went below 200cd4 tho

My favorite: Steak Tartare. Raw ground beef, raw egg. Served like on the pic, then you pour the egg into the hole that was create to hold it, and mix with the stuff that is around the steak. YUmmmmmmmmm.

I use either pasteurized eggs or Egg Beaters (also pasteurized) when I make egg nog.

I would watch out for undercooked eggs if your counts are low, though.
