Good point, Carl, perhaps you can edit the post and remove the number and PM it to those who ask (and who you know are legit).

I think Carl is on a Plane about now...perhaps the Mods can delete the number?

Carl:

I've deleted Thom's hospital phone number from your message. Unless he asked for you to pass along his phone number to... well... every member of these Forums, I suggest that you wait until people contact you directly (via PM) and then pass along his phone number to members who want it.

Thanks for understanding -- we've never really liked the idea of phone numbers and e-mail addresses being posted for all to see in this online forum.

My TWIN   picked up at   the    Air-0-drome    :)

I introduced him to a few  passingers  ,    Eric is  the shy one    ::)

A nice lady from  Argentina that lives in Saint Louis   wishes us happy birthday  :D :D

A couple from  Connecticut gave me odd looks ,  Her husband had his  Visor on up side down

when he was   flying ,as soon as he landed he flipped it , Of course he was a ROMAN GOD  :P

I leaned over and said   "   flip it back , much cuter look  :o  ,  His wife thought maybe i was gay  ;)

At the  the escalator i saw them and said FLIP IT OVER !      :D :D :D

wifey   thought maybe i too friendly     ROTFLMAO  :P

I just popped up , have to traipse  upstairs and find Eric or Billy or just the COFFEE  POT !

you all be safe and have fun ,

I WAS ASKED BY THOM TO POST HIS HOSPITAL NUMBER !

AS OF THIS MORNING   I HAD BEEN THE ONLY PERSON TO SPEND HOURS WITH THOM !

THE NURSES THANKED ME , IT WAS A PLEASURE  he is quite the man !

TIM DID IT OCCURE TO YOU TO CALL AND ASK THOM IF HE HAD ASKED ME TO POST THE NUMBER ?

I'm in Connecticut now ,  just got in !

signed , JUST FOLLOWING ORDERS FROM THOM

Carl, I think we were just afraid that some crack-pots that were not members of the Forum, and are only guests of the Forums, might call and say something untoward to Thom while he is in a delicate situation (those kind of people are always lurking here). So I think Tim was acting in an abundance of caution to protect Thom.

Regardless, you have been a Godsend to Thom and us, and I know I felt quite at ease knowing you were with him and constantly updating us with his status :)

You're an Angel!

-Will

Thom is being released tomorrow!

Hello Everyone:

I just got off the phone with Thom's sister (she's in LV) and Thom himself.  His doctor has approved his discharge for tomorrow and they will be flying back to Virginia straight away.

He sounds 1000 times better, coherent, lucid, and full of good spirits.  He expressly wanted me to thank everyone, and tell you all that he loves us very much.

Such good news!

RAB

this is such good news.  At the time of Thom's fall, I held him up in my lap as we waited for the first responders.  He was conscious the entire time but he couldn't speak, he couldn't focus his eyes, he was very pale, his left hand was curled up into a fist and he was sweating profusely.  As Will said, on the ride to the hospital they called in a code '3', stomped on the accelerator, rode over the median and high-tailed it to the hospital.  It did not look good.

So I'm very, very happy to hear such good news. He's a strong man whose been through a lot this year.  Many thanks to you and Jan and Carl (weasel) for being there for those few extra days.  I'm sure it made all the difference.

Thanks for the great news Rab, it is no wonder as Thom was surrounded by the best folks possible in Vegas.  He had great support and great advocates, all of you, and kudos to his sister for her support as well.  Get back on your feet fully real soon again Thom!

Love, Jody :)

Actually Robert I didn't participate, other than standing helplessly on the sidelines .  It was you, Will, and Gary who were there at the time.  It was Carl, Jan, and Gary who made multiple trips to the hospital to visit with him.

But as you so aptly pointed out, I'm certain it made a difference.

Kudos to all of you, and thank goodness this happened at a time when he was surrounded by friends, and thank goodness also Thom will be released tomorrow.

BTW, his sister is truly a wonderful woman, how fortunate he is to have her.

We have come an enormous distance since the frightening events of last Sunday afternoon.  I am so relieved about Thom's progress.  I told him numerous times this past week that Ric was clearly watching out for him from his "lofty perch in heaven."  At the Memorial service I reminded everyone about those spirits "repairing those holes in the ozone layer" and reminding us "nothing is lost forever."

What an extraordinary group I was privileged to share last week with... It is quite amazing the good we are able to do for each other when we get together.  This is a lesson...the forums can be used for fighting and name calling and dissent (and sometimes it is even entertaining) but their greater importance is the safety net they provide for all of us dealing with a life-threatening and life-alterning disease and reminding us (as I said in the Memorial) that there is ALWAYS a reason for hope!
