Title: I screwed up again!
Post by: Scaredagain77 on January 20, 2007, 12:46:36 am
I just tested negative in December and once again I put myself at a very high risk. I allowed a transexual escort to give me oral sex. She showed me some papers from the local hiv and std clinic stating both syphilis and HIV were neg. But while telling me she was 45 and for me not to worry...she said "trust me Im 45 and HIV positive...I mean negative...and I plan to stay that way. She didnt look very healthy and she gave me oral. My penis never got erect and I also have a cut on my penis from rough sex with my girlfriend. The cut is still read but not bleeding. She also touch the tip of my flacid penis with hers and I dont know if there was precum on he/her penis....he She told me I was paranoid and there is nothing risky about what we were doing. Now I have to test again and I hate testing and swore to never do anything unprotected again. The CDC said I have a risk....especially with the cut. Im screwed. what do I do? Now I cant sleep with my girl....It was a dumb curious mistake.

You didn't have a risk from what you have stated. You don't get HIV for receiving a blowjob and certainly not from rubbing your penis together.

But the CDC said I was @ risk because of my open cut. I dont know if he/she had bleeding gums. I also think if the tip of our penises touched we exchanged fluids...right?

NO that is not right. You did not let anyone give you a blowjob with you having a bleeding penis. Saliva is not infectious and rubbing your penis together with another person it not a risk.

You need to (re)read the lesson on transmission on this site. There's a link to it in the Welcome thread which opens this section.

Neither getting a blowjob nor mutual masturbation masturbation have ever accounted for a confirmed case of transmission. It's safe to say you won't make history by becoming the first.

The essential thing in terms of sexual activities is that you use condoms for intercourse, whether vaginal or anal. And unless you and your girlfriend are in a securely monogamous relationship in which both partners test negative at the same time that's what you should be doing: using condoms for intercourse.

Also, other STDs are much easier to acquire than HIV, so if you are active sexually you should have a full STD panel done regularly -- at least annually and every six months is even better.

As far as HIV is concerned there was no risk in this recent incident you're concerned about. Really.

Just a quick comment on the whole Neg -vs- Pos thing.  If a person shows up Neg. on a test result does not necessarily mean that they are Neg.!  You can show up HIV- and still be HIV+.  My partner and I both got tested and showed up Neg. so preceded to have unprotected and totally monogamous sex.  about a year later I find out that I am HIV+.  So I just wanted to say not to trust a paper showing HIV- status and even if someone tells you that they tested Neg. you should still have sex as if they were Pos.  BE SAFE AT ALL TIMES!!!

Stallion, while I certainly agree with your admonition to follow safer sex guidelines and use condoms for intercourse, you are way out of line to throw the reliabiility of approved HIV tests into question. Simply saying you and your partner tested negative together does not address a number of factors which could have either then or subsequently affected your HIV status.

As long as an approved HIV test is done at the proper time in relation to a possible risk it will yield a reliable result. And that is a very well documented fact through nearly two decades of testing and the evolution of ever more sensitive tests.

While I appreciate your situation in terms of having recently seroconverted, I cannot let such a disturbing and inaccurate comment stand here.

Also, if a couple are in a securely monogamous relationship in which both have tested negative at a reliable point, then it is a legitimate option for them to decide to stop using condoms. Other than in such a situation condoms should always be used for intercourse.

andy i got a blowjob and have a cut on my penis...isnt that high risk?
Title: Re: I screwed up again!
Post by: RapidRod on January 20, 2007, 12:10:19 pm
No it is not a high risk. It is no risk at all. Saliva is not infectious.

How about if they had small bleeding in the gums? I cant see in their mouth....the cdc ---a GIOVERNMENT AGENCY said it was very high risk

Itslallion man just scared the crap out of me too. So basically my test was unreliable? I still could be poz? or this tranny is living in the end stages of HIV and thats why he/she tested neg?

No it doesn't say that at all. You are not at a high risk, what they do say it is a "theoretical" risk. Which to this day there is no documentation that anyone has ever gotten infected from receiving a blowjob. You know your penis wasn't bleeding at the time or you wouldn't have let someone give you a blowjob nor would the person have given you a blowjob with your penis bleeding.

Scared this is a no risk situation.  The government says LOTS of things that arent true!  Remember they were the ones that told us that Saddam had weapons of mass destruction.  Just cause the CDC says something (which they dont say its high risk) doesnt make it true.

And as far as itallliion guy, he has all of 7 posts on this forum and your going to listen to HIM and not us?  You make no sense.

The only reason for someone to test neg - poz is that they didn't take the test at the correct time. They are on Chemo, antirejection drugs for transplants or they are IV drug abusers. Another reason is that they have unprotected sex with someone and the test didn't cover that because again they tested to early.

I really need to breath here.....A friend of my girlfriends said he was 100 percent sure he got hiv from performing oral on women....because for the most part he was always protected....He is from the ivory coast and is in to s&m...he told her that he had never been with a man....and he goes to S&m parties....Yet he got HIV from oral....Lately on here I have been running into alot of forums with people testing poz and it was false POZ. Thats also freaking me out...I figure the more I test the higher therisk for a false poz that would send me into a downward spiral of depression. I also remember hearing about HIV from kissing many years ago....it was on the news.....Jesus why cant they just cure this thing! its driving me nuts

Your friend shouldnt be listened to. For the very fact you said that he "for the MOST PART is always protected".  That doesnt mean all the time.   And you still have no risk.

Im emotionally and mentally drained....just read the lessons it says there is a risk theoritically....I had an abrasion on my penis....this person was a high risk individual....god only knows.

You don't get infected by abrasions even if the person is hiv positive.

I read everywhere that abrasions increase the risk---including the lessons here

You don't get infected from getting your dick sucked period.

Let me use my time travel analogy.

Theoretically time travel is possible.  Can you do it?

Just because I only have 7 post on this forum does not make me uneducated!  I resent that!  The FACT that I was trying to state earlier is that if you become infected with HIV and it may not show up right away in a blood test.  So if you test Neg. you may still have HIV it just didn't show up yet.  Go ahead and tell me that if you contract the virus today it will definitely show up in a blood test tomorrow.

itstallionman, everyone is aware that it takes from 6 weeks to 3 months for the body to manufacture enough antibodies to be detected. A 3 month test is conclusive.  Unless, as stated for the very rare late serocoverters.
Persons on Chemo, on antirejection drugs, IV drug abusers and persons with severe immune suppressed systems.

itallion all i am referring to is how often you have posted on here.  And considering your post was not well explained and seemed to add to the confusion.  when rod ann and andy have several THOUSAND posts and a LONG history on this board I was simply saying that it did not make any sense for him to put your advice ahead of the others.

I also live with my aunt who is HIV POZ. probably why I am so afraid of this virus....I used her toothbrush on accident several times and just noticed today. Am I at risk?

But the gay was nice and said maybe he could help me...Basically he told me that with a cut on my penis even though it wasnt bleeding that I should take pep if the individual I was with was high risk...he said small amounts of HIv in the saliva could have gotten in the cut....WHY CANT I GET A STR8 ANSWER.....Howard brown center is a very reputable testing center.....So he must know the deal.....PLEASE HELP

They don't sound very reliable to me. I don't know who you talked to but it sounds like you talked to a cleaning person. You are not going to get infected by saliva, a little blood in it or not.

I had a cut on MY PENIS. Thats an entry way into the bloodstream. This Virus has been on the hunt for me and my family. It has claimed the lives of 3 people in my family. One by mode of transfusion in the 80's. Howard Brown in Chicago is elite for HIV testing. They are praised. This guy said I needed pep. I trust him. Rapid Rod I know you know alor about HIv but your not a test administrtor. I dont think this guy was either but Im sure he is well trained. IM DOOMED. I know it...I can feel it in my veins my blood is contaminated. Bad Karma...for all the eveil things i have done. My girlfriend has had back to back colds...she probably just got it from me or has had it as well. I was WITH A TRANSEXUAL who blew me....with a cut on my penis,.....I knew better and was so dethly afraid of him that I couldnt even get hard. It was the devil....

If you put so much value in what that Howard place says why on EARTH do you keep coming back here?  You tell Rod off and say that the guy who doesnt know anything at all is the one you are going to listen to!!!

If you think the virus has it out for you then why are you out gettin blown with a cut on your dick.  You would think you would be so damn paranoid you wouldnt allow that to happen.

You are dealing with guilt and seem to like to feel this way.  There isnt anything we can do for you.  if you believe you have HIV then spend your own money to go test and find out for sure!!!  We will tell you what we have BEEN TELLING YOU.  If you value others opinions then please dont come back here.

I wasnt telling him off at all. I just dont know if the people on this site have credentials or if someon like myself can just start repeating what I here on this site and that would make me an expert? I dont mean to insult anyone. I am scared to take the test because I know I am doomed. I didnt notice the cut until afterwards. I read in the living with forum that a guy was recently poz from oral. I also read how some people tested neg and then the next day poz and then neg...how reliable are these test? Im just scared...I also read the average life span is 25 years. Ironicly enough my friend just emailed me about his uncle pasing from aids. Its like its chasing me.

NO I DONT AGREE.  I said that if YOU are so worried about it why did you do it.  I would have had NO problem gettin a blowjob with a cut on my penis.  Because it doesnt worry ME.

Scared, you need help.  Professional help of which we cannot give you here.  And by that i mean mental help.  Test and be done with it.  I personally think you need this type of exchange and i dont think its healthy.  If you dont test you dont know.

I respectfully withdraw from debating you any further.  You need to get tested if you want your mind at ease and then remain celibate for life, then you wont worry anymore.

Good luck.

Scaredagain77, you never were at risk but if the only way to get you to stop this kind of thinging then test. Don't come back until you've collected your negative results.

Ok I finally talked to a guy at Howard brown who was a counselor. He said there was a case of a guy with a prince albert that got HIv from getting oral...True? He has been doing HIV testing for 5 years...He also said there was a very low risk....He said he couldnt say no risk because of the nature of his job....Jesus...ANN ANDY....RAPID....

I have calmed down over the fear of HIV....But I started to worry about syphilis. I read in some places that my brief oral contact was too brief to probably transmit anything at all. I have another cut around the edge of where my foreskin ends...Next to the same place I had before my risky encounter...I noticed it about a week ago. It hurts when Im erect and I touch it....Its more of a slit unless I open it then it looks round. Its not elevated at all. Online I read alot of similiar cases and it was just friction or not enough lube. I know this is an HIVsite and I thank you for your advice....but does what I have sound like syphilis? The local STD hot line said the time span had been to short....That I would have probably started getting symptoms now and not a week ago. Also they said the sores are painless...any advice...I know Im gonna gog test but was just wondering if anyone could tell me what I should expect?

You are right, this is an HIV site. Go see a doctor or and STD site.
