I have mixed feelings about this.  This was at what looks like a small home.  It seems the protestor could have discussed this with the First Lady, instead of shouting.  It looked like a very small event.  I would think the First Lady would have made herself available for a tad bit of mingling. 

To name-drop again, I made my way up to the reception line to meet President Clinton, when he was prez.  He shook my hand and he talked to me briefly.  This was at a small event.  I'm sure if I brought up some concern politely, he would have listened.  He was not in a hurry.  He loved the interaction.  The secret service had to push him along, because he ate it up.  When I volunteered for then Senator Obama, he met privately with all of us volunteers.  I'm sure I could have brought up a concern.  This was also a small event.  So, I wonder whether this woman felt she would have no opportunity to speak face to face.  If you're at a small event, then I would think you could get some face-time.  But, the protestor got her message out worldwide, so perhaps she didn't want to ask face to face. 

I think the First Lady could have handled this better.  She said as much herself.
