On May 9th, I met up with this guy who I'd been talking to for a while. I asked him about hks status, and he told me he tested negative three weeks before our encounter.
While I was on my way to meet him, I looked at his profile again and saw something that wasn't there a few weeks ago when I first started talking to him:he was now "pos friendly". I probably should have cancelled on him, but since he was already on his way, I didn't.
Still, him being pos friendly freaked me out a bit, so I suggested we just do oral because I was pretty tired. He agreed and started going down on me. We took turns, and when it was my turn to suck him off, I alternated between actually sucking him and giving him a handjob. At one point, I tasted a tiny bit of precum. He was kind enough to tell me when he was close, and at that point I was mainly just giving him a handjob. He came on himself, so none of his actual semen got on or in me--but I've heard conflicting things about the amount of hiv that can be present in precum.
Normally I wouldn't be too worried, but a few days ago I woke up with nausea and chills, and it's still going on, and I'm afrId it might be ARS since the timeframe fits. So assuming the worst--that he became positive shortly after getting tested and thus had a high viral load--could I be infected?

Madshot, whatever caused your nausea and chills, it was not HIV. The only confirmed risks for the sexual transmission of HIV are unprotected vaginal and anal intercourse. As long as condoms are always used properly for activities you will be well protected.
Your saliva contains over a dozen elements and proteins which very effectively prevent transmission of viable HIV. This there's no need for testing nor for further concern on your part.

Hi Madshot , nothing you did was a risk for HIV so you can put this behind you and move on . It would not have mattered if he is HIV positive , sexually you are at risk for HIV when you engage in unprotected anal or vaginal sex .
Trying to decide who is and who is not HIV positive before sex is a fools game , if you wish to remain HIV negative then use condoms for vaginal or anal sex and you will avoid HIV , it really is just that simple .
To agree to have unprotected intercourse is to consent to the possibility of being infected with an STI. Sex without a condom lasts only a matter of minutes, but HIV is forever.
ALTHOUGH YOU DO NOT NEED HIV TESTING AT THIS TIME, anyone who is sexually active should be having a full sexual health care checkup, including but not limited to HIV testing, at least once a year and more often if unprotected intercourse occurs.
If you aren't already having regular, routine checkups, now is the time to start. As long as you make sure condoms are being used for intercourse, you can fully expect your routine HIV tests to return with negative results.
Don't forget to always get checked for all the other sexually transmitted infections as well, because they are MUCH easier to transmit than HIV. Some of the other STIs can be present with no obvious symptoms, so the only way to know for sure is to test.
Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, correctly and consistently, and you will avoid HIV infection. It really is that simple!
