Check out my statistics!
« on: January 11, 2007, 12:19:16 pm »
;D No, not THOSE statistics...naughty minds!

I was a bit dubious about how my latest labs were going to pan out. Stress levels have not been my friend this past 6 months or so and my health was noticeably wobbly from about June onward...was getting worried. However December's numbers are in and definitely worth sharing (CHECK OUT MY VIRAL LOAD!!!):

CD4 - 351 (up from 287 in Sept)
CD4% - 33% (up from 30% - my % has always averaged in the mid 30s)
Viral load - less than 400 (down from 4927)

And that's after 6 months of shingles/gastro infections/herpes/an abcess and a nasty respiratory infection!
Don't forget too, I'm 7 years into this game and never had meds...

OH JOY!!!

Also I'm glad to report that I'm working on the emotional stress and feel like I'm on the right road at last...

YEIA KAI HARA (health and happiness) to you all!

A mellow Melia 8)

Brilliant news! Great lab results considering whats been happening recently.  Has your viral load always stayed below 2000 by the way?

Hehe, thanks guys and gals!

No Chris, this is only the 3rd time my viral load has been below 2000 in 4 years of results. Although funnily enough all 3 <2000 results have been in the past 12 months...maybe its all that Greek sunshine! Prior to that my VL has fluctuated mainly between about 3000 and 16000 (apart from a one-off of 67000 in July 2004, when bizarrely my CD4 was at one of its highest points at 526 and 42%!).

Btw, I just realised that my VL reduction this time was even better than I thought. I just edited my original post accordingly.

Thanks again for your congrats and wishes folks!

Miss Melia,

The news of your good numbers has resulted in an outbreak of enthusiastic dancing at The Palms on Oxford Street.
