Fun with MRSA
« on: May 30, 2008, 12:30:31 pm »
It turns out that what I thought was a pimple really wasn't...  it didn't stop me from trying to pop it.  And, despite my most fervent and painful efforts to do so, it grew and grew and grew.  The doctor gave me Sulfameth/Trimeth - which I understand to be a precursor to antibiotics.  Some of the redness has gone away, and I only have about 5 more days worth of medication.

Yesterday I was at my second job, and I got a sudden tingling in my pants.  To my credit, it was on my belt-line, where the offending MRSA resides.  It was a good tingly feeling, When i went to the bathroom to take a look, I discovered that it popped, and all sorts of grey/bloody ooze had been pulled by gravity down into my shorts.  I hope I didn't spread it to myself.  It's now covered, and I can sit down without pain.

I started getting these at the beginning of last spring, but I haven't had one in almost 9 months.

Anyone else get these?  any tips?

:(

Joseph -- as long as you stay on the MRSA meds for the remaining five days, I doubt it would "spread".
