posible exposicion/ Faringitis candidiasis bucal
« on: June 14, 2013, 06:04:42 pm »
Buenas tardes,

tested positive HSV-1 could HIV passed also to my mouth?
« Reply #6 on: September 16, 2013, 07:22:03 pm »
Hello Drs from poz, Im from Argentina and youve been tremendous help to me the past few months. Im 27 yo and Ive never been sexually active up until 4 months.

Im a male and the past April 11 I was training in the gym as usually. While I was in the urinal I did something I might regret my whole life. A guy who was urinating and who was previously hitting on me at the gym took his pennis out and I blew him for a couple of seconds. Not more than 10 seconds at maximum, they were 3 or 4 licks at his pennis overall. because a lot of guys come and go of this place. I freaked out and told him Im sorry I cant do this and I left. His pennis was obviously unerected and there was no cum or precum (not so sure but very unlikely)

I ran to a local clinic and told them my high risk exposure and PEP was not indicated to me because they said my risk was very very low without *** in my mouth.

2 months later I started having some ulcers on my tongue, 2 or 3, 1 in my lower lip  and my gums started to swelling up a lot. I had fever and couldnt swallow any food in 5 days because it was so painful. My doctor diagnosed Herpes Stomatitis .All this lasted 5 days but nowadays I still have a little hole in my tongue where one of the ulcers were. its like a little tiny scar.

I cant eat, cant sleep and my parents still mourns my brother who died from an aneurism (aneurysm) last year. They know im a shadow in my house but they barely look at me everyday.

Ive been told by several MD that if I got HSV-1 orally from this guy and he was hiv poz, its very very likely that HIV passed along with HSV-1 even without semen in my mouth because hiv virus stick like glue to HSV-1.

1) I will get tested wednesday morning from all STD and HIV. What do you think about my exposure?

2) May I got just HSV-1 orally even if the guy was hiv positive( which I dont know honestly) ?

3) Without semen or precum in my mouth, is HIV possible to enter my bloodstream??

God bless you Drs, today and always.

As Andy already told you last June , you did not have a risk for HIV . There is absolutely no risk in the situation you described , you cant get HIV from simply putting a penis in your mouth and the doctor who told you that HSV made it likely that you were exposed to HIV in this situation does not know what he is talking about .

If it will ease your mind then you can test over this no risk incident but you can be confident that you did not get HIV from the concerns you outlined in your post .

Thanks for your reply Jeff. The thing is my doctor told me that sometimes pre semen comes even without an erected penis and not always just before ejaculation besides precum might be at the begining of the fellatio in smalls drops that I might havent seen at that moment. he said the scenario is possible but unlikely but the pharingytis at my 8 week could be perfectly ARS as it is one the common symptons and co-infection with an STD is incredible high risk because a drop of presemen of an infected hiv man with an untreated std is equal to a very large among of semen and only that is enough to enter the bloodstream.

Hi Brad . I should not have engaged you in English in the forum . Its not intended for English speaking individuals nor is it fair to the ones that have to purchase a subscription to continue to ask questions . Andy did sum it up very well in regards to your on going fears over a no risk incident .

I tested poz for syphilis and hiv last week. Im getting a wb to confirm on monday. doc says its a very rarely situation where infection took place without ejaculation on mouth but there are confirmed cases. Is after 19 weeks possible a false possible? My doc told me its unlikely.

Hi Brad ... Most of your post is in in Spanish and I haven't translated it . The best thing to do is to wait for Andy to come in and answer your concerns because he knows your posting history and situation better than I . If were to comment further I would only be guessing and unfortunately it would not be fair to the AM I forums for us to continue on in English .

I'm sure Andy will help you , best wishes and good luck .

Buena suerte. Esperando a oir su resultado.
