Would someone please advise where current information can be found about how Medicare D affects ADAP programs?

Hello Miller,

I am not cuurently utilizing this plan. There are others here, that are much more familiar with this.

I was checking the old forums, and if you click the link below, you will have to scan through some of the thread titles.( and go through some of the pages. It may give you some starting info.) I remember there was a lot of discussion on the old forums regarding this .

If this link doesn't work, go to the archived forums and under "search" type in   Medicare part D  Make sure to change "current messages" to "Archived messages"

In addition to JREs suggestion...you might try:
http://www.aegis.com/factshts/network/access/states/index.html

The site breaks down ADAP state-by-state...which is relavant as each state sets their own eligibility, drug formularies, etc.  They vary widely.  Also Part D integration is handled on a state-by-state basis.  And if you have questions, the site will provide the name of your state's ADAP coordinator and the way to contact the person.

There has been considerable confusion as Part D commenced earlier in the year.  I think (or hope) by now...the dust has settled enough so we can seek out the facts where they exist.

Good luck!  I had my share of stress over this earlier  :o
