Saw this on the news or somewhere last night.  Great kid.  I continue to hope for a surprise by the Court, that they will go broad and put this issue to rest.  I keep reading how Roberts is concerned about the court being too political, and how many don't think he would want his court on the wrong side of history on this.  And, Justice Kennedy is on record, saying you cannot deny rights just cause people feel something should be a certain way.  We will see.

That is such a great video.  I saw it on msnbc the other day.

DOMA is dead.  There is absolutely no way it will be held up.  It's blatantly unconstitutional.  The Federal Government will recognize same sex marriages I'm all but certain.  Not to mention, every state that currently bans same sex marriage will be required to recognize all marriages performed in states where it's legal.  So in Kentucky for instance, they may still not allow you to get married there but you could always take a vacation to Boston get married and when you return home Kentucky will be required to recognize it.

Prop 8 on the other hand. Fingers crossed

I think this has been posted here before.  Happened to catch them on TV today.  I usually don't like rap, except when it's mixed with other genres.  Great song, mixed with good instrumentals and vocals.  Seemed appropriate for this thread.

That video always get me.  Macklemore  is from Seattle and he wrote that for the last election when gay marriage was on the ballot here.  It was played here all the time, on the tv, news, everyone had it on their facebook page.  He donated a bunch to Washington United for Marriage.  Considering how much it was played here it had to have changed minds.

Not to mention he's super cute. (And his other songs are pretty bomb too, even if hip hop isn't your thing..his lyrics are pretty great).
