Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD)
« on: January 21, 2025, 04:20:15 pm »
So I think we all know just having HIV disposes ones to greater likelihood of coronary artery disease. But HIV also damages smaller vessels.

In my case, if I sit for too long, my left leg and foot (in particular) will change colors and go numb. There is pain as well. I have noticed this phenomenon for some time (low nadir and high viremia at diagnosis). Probably around the time I noted the paresthesia I experience.

Has anyone been diagnosed with PAD? I have no other risk factors, and anything I can mitigate lifestyle-wise I am already doing.

ojo.          Hello there!… When I was leaving with AIDS I got vasculitis, the doctor didn’t tell me they was PAD, but it is possible that is related to that. Very painful, I should’ve looked for it link about it, but I forgot, you can always look for vasculitis on Google… What does the doctor tell you about your condition?.. wishing you the best… Hugs
