New Numbers
« on: December 08, 2007, 10:52:15 pm »
I got my latest blood test results in the mail today.  CD4 380 (down from 600); viral load 214,000.  I'll probably be seeing my doctor next week.  I have an appointment in January, but I have some kind of rash on my feet (no, I haven't changed laundry detergents and I don't get pedicures), and I have an awful cold sore that's been there for two months and won't respond to over-the-counter treatment.  I probably am going to have to get some Zostrix.  I had one in the past like this and that was the only thing that would clear it up.  Anyway, I'm sure the good doctor will want to start some new med.

Other than that, I had a really great evening.  I took my granddaughter to see The Nutcracker at Morris Performing Arts Center in South Bend (IN).  It was really wonderful.  The dancers were all on mark and everything was spectacular.  My granddaughter (who's 7) really enjoyed it also.  Onward and upward.

Currently I am on Sustiva and Trizivir.  I was put on that by another doctor who was a resident and moved on to another town.  The doc I have now is more well versed in HIV and is up on all that's going on.  So I trust him.

Am 66 yo male - infected for 5 years.

I started Atripla on July 19 this past summer.  After 18 days, my CD4 rose from 312 to 371 and 90 days later (early November) it was 559.  My VL was 101,260 in early July, and after 18 days on Atripla it fell to 1,470.  It was 70 in early November after 90 more days.

Minor night problems with Atripla - I take it at 10:00 pm, need to go to bathroom around 2:00 am and find that I'm a little shaky at that time but fine when I get up at 6:00 am.
