Is ATRIPLA making him sick

Hi everyone

My friend has been taking Atripla for the las 13 months, no problems, until last month, he started to have pain in his mouth, lower back, hips even in his feet. His doctor sent him for some bloodwork (acidosis) no results yet. Could this be due to Atripla? I haven't taken it, that why I can help him. We will appreeciate any feedback. thanks members

Possibly, because of one of two of the drugs in Atripla, but it is uncommon (1 in 100 or less), the cause may well be something other than the meds, acidosis has many causes - matt
