Doctor visit went ok
« on: February 22, 2007, 09:10:03 am »
Well I went to my ID doctor visit yesterday and everything went ok. She is putting me on a new med called Viramune. Also have to go and get Pentam treatments done at the Hospital since my numbers have fallen under the 200 mark. Other than that everything else looks fine. MyCD4 number may have dropped but my % is rising. My next appt will not be until June.

Hi Jerry, I just wanted to let you know i too am on Viramune plus Combiver, i have had no problems with either one. I have been on this combo for around 5 yrs. now and they are still working good for me. My last counts were cd4 748 and vload is still undetectable. I hope you have no problems with the new meds and i hope your numbers start moving upwards.

Hey Jerry.  Since as too often is true, I can't place your post in context, so will blindly ask if you could/would consider redoing just labs about a month from now to see if/how Viramune is helping things?  Pentam. is a prophylactic against pneumonia which is used by people with low cd4 numbers.  PCP is the form.  Win

Hi Jerry

I'm hoping that Viramune will help get your T cells above 200, and you can stop with the Pentamidine treatments.   It has worked well for me for quite a long time now.

Hugs,
Alan

Hi Jerry, I also take viramune since 5 years, until recently with Combivir
and that was a good combo. Up, up and up. Be well Jerry,
the winter will be coming to an end soon.

Thanks everyone for the replies. Yeah hope the new meds help improve my numbers. and as far as the living situation goes that is still an ongoing thing for me. Just considered that if he can have a guest come over and stay for however long he wanted too then two can play this game. Time to turn the tables on him Im inviting someone to come and stay the weekend with me and were going to have a little fun here this weekend.  :-*

The countdown begins Just 8 more months here and then its off staying in my own place by myself. Hope everyone else is doing ok. Yeah by the way the Pentam treatment will start next week taking it instead of the Mepron. Also by next week my new meds should arrive and I can start to take them. and hopefully my numbers will climb. Just getting tired of being in the under 200 club. >:(
