Worried about possible condom slip
« on: October 20, 2017, 01:23:20 pm »
Hello all. First off thank you for running such a helpful and informative site. I am concerned over a possible risk I may have had last week. One week ago I met up withba guy from grindr and one thing lead to another and we ended up having sex, me as the bottom. Now, I am VERY paranoid about stds and hiv, so I made sure he was put a condom on, and I even felt it multiple times to make sure it was in tact. He was kind of small so when he entered me, I felt the condom slip off of him a little bit when he would pull out. As he would go back in though, it seemed like he was going further into the condom as he was going further into me (if that makes sense). This went on for maybe...25 seconds. He then thrusted in very hard and I made us stop as I was in a lot of pain. He got lube (silicone based) and lubed me up as we hadnt used any before, and I asked to see it. It was silicone based so I refused to go further as I know silicone can damage condoms (right?). So anyways after I left I noticed I was BLEEDING from my behind, which scares me because what if when he came out of the condom a little, some precum on his penis got in my anus? Before that we had frotted a tiny bit, and I know I had a fissure. Is that a risk? Is any of this a risk? Should I be worried that precum could have entered me after the condom slipped a bit? Its a week later and I have two swollen lymph nodes, feeling fatigued and also keep sneezing and my throat hurts a bit. Are these symptoms? Im freaking out because I always practice safe sex and I hope I did not get hiv from this very brief incident. I asked him many times if he was negative and tested and he said yes each time, but I just like to be sure. Please help me! Thank you

Sneezing has nothing to do with HIV. Rubbing against your anus pre-cum or not, bleeding or not is not a concern.

Anyhow look I was not in the room. If you say the condom slipped resulting in unprotected penetration that than was a risk, test in 6 weeks and 13 weeks time to confirm that result.

To be honest it does not sound like you had any risk just fears as a result from a bit of blood and sneezing and neither are a hiv concern.

All in all my advice is move on and test when you are normally due for a sexual health checkup as routine.

Thanks you! I an certain the head of his penis was always covered when he was inside of me, its just I am concered that there was perhaps precum on the bottom half of his penis that was perhaps exposed inside of me. Is that a risk if the condom slipped up and precum was on the bottom half of his penis that was INSIDE of me? And Im only concerned about the bleeding because that means there was an open wound during the sex and what if precum got in there? Also, I gave him unprotected oral.

No and not really.

Pre-cum on the shaft was not a concern. Giving a BJ well the mouth lacks the route to infect as it does not have the cells for hiv to infect unless there is damage. Anyhow long story short it's a near negligible risk, so no need to worry or to run out to test,  just test whenever next due as normal.

Relax.

Okay, so theres no real reason for me to be worried? Overall he was inside of me for like MAYBE 20 seconds and I'm unsure if the condom even really DID slip as I couldnt see and he never mentioned it. But I am very certain it was always on and covering the head, and I know it didnt fall off upon withdraw because I definitely wohld have felt it still inside of me and him pulling the condom out correct? Sorry, I have anxiety and am constantly speculating about my health. I used a condom, for most people thats where they say "it was safe, I'm fine" but for me it is so hard to not worry. I hate being a hypochondriac :/ as soon as I felt a lymph node and felt fatigued I freaked out, and then on the side of my head I saw what i thought was some sort of rash but it turned out to be a small cluster of acne. Anyways thank you again and you're sure I have no reason to be worried?
