Hi, I had the 2 injections earlier this year and absolutely no side effects (except some local “pain” at the injection site which went away within a couple of days). Best Matt

I've had the first of 2 shots.

My arm was sore for a good 5 days (was warned by doctor and pharmacist, that this was a particularly painful shot) - nothing that stopped any normal activities.

The day after, I also felt just a little bit "flu-ish".  Was very tired and weak, but the next day all was well (except for the sore deltoid muscle).

Shot 2 in Sept.

Well, I got the first one yesterday and my arm is sore like with most vaccinations, that's all! Developing shingles has been one of my biggest fears about having a damaged immune system. Four of my "healthy" family members have had them and it wasn't pretty. My sister had the rash on her face and it spread to the corner of her eye. The other three had it on their torso and couldn't stand to wear clothes. With a protection rate of over 95% I am thankful for this vaccine.

I had it about a year ago. Had a pretty strong reaction, second one slightly easier but probably better than having months of pain from shingles later.
