Greetings! I have watched and read posts to these forum for a few weeks now, having tested positive back in June. It has been a true live-saver to read about everyone else's tremendous spirit, vitality and determination - it has literally helped get me to this point where I realize how important it is to reach out to everyone and take this step. I hope to be able to meet some of you and learn about your trek through this challenge, and hopefully find a way down the road to do the same for others.
You know, it sounds ridiculous now looking back, but stuff like this "doesn't happen" to guys like me. Man, life has a funny way of changing your opinion quickly. Here I am, and I'm ready to beat this thing.

and welcome to the gang! Of course the reason why you are joining us sucks ;) but at least you've joined early, and you will be able to avoid some of the mistakes I made during the 4 years it took me to find this place. I've changed opinions on many issues during this time, and I am sure I will change a few more.
