The movie Alpha Dog (Almost Ralpha Dog)
« on: January 21, 2008, 04:02:50 am »
Last Week, I was laying on the couch, channel surfing, and I caught this movie Alpha Dog. I had wanted to see it in the theaters and missed it. I heard that it was an OK movie......OK it was. And so much more.

The movie grabbed me from the beginning and never let go. I don't want to ruin it for those who may want to see it.

But damn, Near the end of it, when they were, shall we say, walking outside on a clear, Palms Spring night...

I almost got ill. I mean I nearly lost it. I have never even come close to reacting to ANY movie in this way. I have to admit, I almost puked.

Can anyone who saw this movie relate? Or is it just me. I could not get the movie out of my mind for several days.

I found it to be a powerful flick.

I thought it was pretty good.  I wasn't sure if Justin Timberlake would make the movie suck but he actually wasn't bad.  The director is no Larry Clark and I found parts of this film to remind me of Bully (which in my opinion was a much better film) but overall it was really entertaining.  Sex, drug and alcohol use, mild language, brief scenes of nudity and occasional scenes of violence.  Sweet.

I totally agree with you about Justin. He was pretty smooth through out the movie.

I saw Alpha Dog some months ago.  I didn't have as strong a reaction as you did Jeff, but I must admit it was disturbing.
