Title: Vince's fingering concerns
Post by: Vince_Rash on February 01, 2013, 04:55:06 am
Hi There,

I am new on this thread. I recenly exposed my self to HIV.
I have this scenario where I fingered a lady's vagina for about 5 minutes. Then I noticed a black spot on the tip of my finger, but I am not sure if its a tiny cut or whatsoever. Now my worries began, As I asked question to some HIV organization they told me that I am at risk of HIV infection through this incident. I vigorously fingered the lady and she came with her vaginal fluid and touches my finger which I think has a tiny cut, but it did not burn or hur during the event.
Can you please assess my risk on this scenario. I am so worried hat I cannot perform my daily activity. Do I need to Test for HIV? Can I proceed unprotected sexual intercourse with my wife? Please I need your advise  experts!

Vince,

I removed your post from someone else's thread. We require that you have your own thread for your concerns and that you keep any further comments in your own thread.

Make sure you read the  Welcome Thread (http://forums.poz.com/index.php?topic=220.0) before posting further, like you're supposed, so you can follow our posting rules.

You have NOT been at risk for hiv infection. Not one person has ever been infected through fingering and you will not be the first.

You do NOT need to test over this NO RISK situation.

Hi Ann,

Thanks for your response! I have this in mind, why are the counselors here in singapore and in UK advise me to do an HIV test? If this scenario is NO risk. Do you think that they are not fully aware of the transmission of HIV or they are only very carefull to give advise? I am a married man and worries too much.

Appreciate your inputs on this matter. Thank you Ann for yur wonderfull thoughts.

I submit that the counselors are going to be very conservative because it really never hurts to get tested. Also, people tend to lie about their actual risk, so a counselor might simply assume that you had unprotected vaginal sex and were not able to be honest about it.

There is, however, NO scientific reason for you to take an HIV test over a fingering incident.

To HIV Experts,

Can you please explain or give us a better picture why HIV cannot be transmitted to a tiny cut in a finger. I myself and the others who is suffering from this dilemma needs to be educated to ease our worries and keeps on our daily life.

I personally thank you Ann for your concern with us individuals who are into this
incident. And I also encourage every HIV experts to provide some inputs on why does fingering (w/ cuts or no cuts) do not possess HIV risk?

Thank you everyone.
